Only a few days left to apply to be part of the new cohort of trainee Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHP) at OTR to expand our offer to children and young people across Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset. Mental Health Support Teams are part of a national strategy implemented by the government in 2018. In Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire, MHSTs are delivered in partnership between OTR and NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (AWP CAMHS). This partnership makes our MHST unique, creative, and responsive to the needs of the diverse communities we work in. Trainee EMHPs will provide high quality, evidence-based support for children and young people with mild to moderate anxiety, low mood, and some behavioural needs. Our practitioners offer a combination of one-to-one Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) support for young people and whole school approach work which includes workshops for pupils, staff training, and parent workshops. Successful applicants will undertake a twelve-month Graduate or Postgraduate Diploma level training course delivered by the University of Exeter with guaranteed permanent employment within OTR on successful completion of training. The training and service experience will equip the post holders with the necessary knowledge, behaviours and skills to ensure that children and young people will have access to high quality, evidence based mental health support. We'll be recruiting to teams which will support schools in North Bristol, South Glos (Yate area), and North Somerset. The start date for this role is flexible between now the 9th of December, to allow the right candidate time to get to know the team and locality. Whilst these roles are OTR vacancies, this programme is run in partnership with Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) who are also currently recruiting for EMHPs (In Training). There are differences in terms and conditions across the organisations. Please check the job descriptions for more information. Candidates who apply to both organisations who are successfully shortlisted will attend a single interview and will not be required to interview twice. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for their suitability for each role independently. To find out more, please follow this link: https://buff.ly/3MCWclS

This time last week the Ridge and Partners LLP Bristol Office were conquering the final peak of the Abergavenny Three Peaks Challenge in aid of Off the Record (Bristol)! We tackled 39km and 1500m elevation within 9.5 hours, but my greatest achievement is that my brand new shoes didn't give me any blisters! While the challenge may be behind us, our mission still continues - if you’d still like to show your support, please donate using the link below! https://lnkd.in/ecT3BVw5 #ThreePeaksChallenge #CharityChallenge #OffTheRecordBristol #RidgeAndPartners #NoBlisters

From bake offs to breakfasts, parades and hosting Pride in Construction 2024, it’s been a busy year for the Pride at Ridge D&I impact group 🌈 👷🏾♀️ This year marked the first time the group had hosted celebrations in more than one office and across multiple regions of the UK, enabling more of our people to get involved. Pride at Ridge, founded in 2021, works to create an inclusive space where all our people feel free to be their whole selves at work. OTR Bristol has taken the decision to delete our X account (formerly twitter) because of the platforms concerning lack of safeguarding and the rise of hate speech and discrimination. OTR is a charity for everyone and we uphold principles that are anti- racist and anti-discriminatory. We stand in solidarity with the Racial Justice Collective and our key partners in Bristol in combating and preventing harm to the communities and young people we serve. #ExitRacismOnX @Saricharity @Racialjusticenetwork
