As a business, we support several local charities close to our hearts, but we’re also lucky to have the kindest team members who like to get involved with their own individual efforts, donating their time, their energy - and, in Will Grewar's case, their hair! - to good causes. Having grown his locks since lockdown, our Senior Marketing Manager had a mane to be proud of, but it only took the time of a kettle boiling for him to agree to cut it all off! “I was making a cup of tea when my colleagues Esther Leask and Sarah Linton convinced me to cut my hair to raise money for Children's Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) - they even volunteered to do the honours!” laughs Will. “I didn’t hesitate to agree. It wasn’t just about a haircut; it was about making a difference in the lives of children and families who need support.” Initially setting out to raise £500, Will smashed his target reaching almost £1,200, every penny of which will go to helping CHAS provide palliative care to children who may die young. He also donated his 22 inch ponytail to The Little Princess Trust, who provide wigs to young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment. As for Will's own precious locks, they are back in good shape after a much-needed trip to the barber! What a way to celebrate International Women’s Day! Over 150 magnificent women gathered on West Sands beach on Saturday morning for a soul-stirring dance and dook - just the first magical moment from a very special event dedicated to women and wellness. After this invigorating start to the day, everyone headed up to the warmth of the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa for breakfast, wellness workshops and live music from the incredible Nati Dreddd. We were honoured to host this inspiring event organised by local wild swimming group Bob & Blether, with all proceeds going to Dundee Women’s Aid and other local charities. There’s nothing quite so powerful as seeing so many strong women lift each other up and create new bonds of friendship and sisterhood.
