  • Oldham’s new market and event space is taking shape 👀 The Town Board recently had a behind-the-scenes tour as the space takes shape as part of the Spindles revamp. With the trader stalls and the event space nearly complete, we’re getting closer to a fantastic new hub for our beloved traders, shoppers, and community events. 🎭 📸 Take a look at the latest progress - we can’t wait to welcome you when the market opens later this year. The Oldham Town Board is a group of businesses, and community representatives working together to oversee the Towns Fund investment in Oldham. Their role is to guide projects that aim to improve the town centre, boost the economy, create jobs, and enhance public spaces. Want to check out the progress? But thanks to the Get Oldham Working WorkWell Vanguard service, he accessed therapy, career support, and even free gym passes to help rebuild his confidence. Now, Joe has a fresh start as a chef at The Last Stop restaurant in the Egyptian Rooms and for the first time in a long time, he feels excited about the future.     🏟️ A major £5 million investment has been unveiled to kickstart SportsTown, an ambitious and transformative £70 million sports, education, health and wellbeing campus in Oldham. Centred around Boundary Park, SportsTown will deliver state-of-the-art sporting, health and educational facilities, transforming opportunities for local people and laying the foundations for a new era for sport in the borough.
