Stockport at MIPIM 2025: Leading the UK’s Largest Town Centre Regeneration Stockport is transforming. With £1bn+ investment, we’re delivering one of the UK’s most ambitious regeneration programmes—turning our town centre into a thriving, sustainable urban community. At MIPIM 2025, we’re proud to be part of the Manchester Invest Partnership, engaging with investors, developers, and global leaders to accelerate Stockport’s next chapter. Our Deputy Chief Executive, Paul Richards has been sharing Stockport’s success story—celebrating five years of Stockport Mayoral Development Corporation and how it has unlocked £600m private investment, new homes, jobs, and infrastructure. He also outlined our bold vision to expand the MDC regeneration into the 280-acre Town Centre East masterplan. Stockport is setting the standard for town centre regeneration, and at MIPIM 2025, we're making the case for why investors should be part of this journey. - Transforming Stockport’s town centre with the UK’s largest town centre regeneration programme. - Doubling housing targets to 8,000 new homes. - Major transport and infrastructure upgrades, including Metrolink ambitions. Tomorrow, our Chief Executive Michael Cullen will take to the stage to highlight why Stockport is an investment opportunity like no other—covering growth, regeneration, and our bold vision for the future of town centres. If you’re at MIPIM 2025, come meet us to see how we can shape the next phase of regeneration together. This International Women’s Day we’re celebrating all the brilliant women who help make Stockport a great, diverse place to be. Meet Sue: Sue, whose family worked in the hatting industry, is celebrating 25 years as part of our Hatworks team. She says, “I'm very proud of the job that I do. Hopefully it's not only the history of my family that I'm helping to keep alive, but the history of the whole town!” Thanks for everything you do, Sue.
