Thank you to our incredible presenters, David Ogman and Peggy Cottrell, MS, LCGC, for sharing their invaluable insights during our 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 & 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 event. David’s courage in discussing his young son’s diagnosis with TECPR2, a rare, genetic, and fatal neurodegenerative disorder, is both moving and inspiring. His dedication to raising awareness and finding a cure for this debilitating condition gives hope to countless families. Peggy’s expertise on Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer highlighted the importance of genetic testing and early intervention, offering essential guidance for those at risk. 🙏
🧬 To those facing the challenges of rare genetic diseases or hereditary cancer: there is always hope. Science, awareness, and community support can make a real difference. We encourage everyone to consider genetic testing, especially when planning families, and to stay strong in the face of these challenges. 🩺
