Work meetings can be a source of anxiety for many, but with the right support and strategies, team leaders can help their colleagues manage this stress effectively. Promote the use of cognitive reframing techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), to help employees challenge negative thoughts and replace them with more realistic perspectives. This practice not only soothes the nervous system but also helps team members refocus on the meeting’s outcomes. Onebright offers mental health training with practical techniques that leaders can use to address and understand the issue of meeting anxiety. We are incredibly proud to be sponsoring Linzi Walks on her inspiring journey to set a world record by solo walking 11,553 km along the entire British coastline in 306 days or less. If you haven’t already heard, Linzi is hiking on foot to raise funds and awareness for two charities close to her heart, Mind and National Trails UK, while setting a new world record. Linzi says, "Hiking with nature has taught me I am only limited by the limits I place upon myself." You can check out how far Linzi is on the tracker here as she circumnavigates the British coastline clockwise: https://lnkd.in/gsm23SfY #Linziwalks #mentalhealth

As a new school year begins, the excitement of new opportunities can be accompanied by challenges, especially for children and young people with neurodevelopmental needs. Change and transitions, such as starting at a new school, can be particularly daunting for these young individuals. At Onebright, we believe that neurodiversity should be recognised and celebrated in schools, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to thrive. We offer tailored online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for children who may need extra support during these transitions. Additionally, our Psychological Needs Assessments provide valuable insights for parents and caregivers, helping them better understand and support their children. Let’s work together to create an environment where every child feels supported and understood. Emotions are entirely normal and are an integral part of all aspects of human nature including our relationships with others. In children, behavioural problems have been closely linked with difficulties in regulating emotions. At Onebright, we recognise that learning emotional regulation strategies from a young age can better equip children to manage stress and navigate interpersonal relationships later in life. Learn more about how therapeutic interventions can help children and young people develop emotional regulation strategies in our blog: https://lnkd.in/egpVUeWH #children #mentalhealth #emotionalregulation #behaviours #therapy #youngpeople

As a result of underlying neurobiological differences in the brain, people with ADHD can often experience persistent and disruptive intrusive thoughts. This can make it difficult for individuals to regulate their attention, leading to a constant stream of thoughts that are difficult to control. Examples of intrusive thoughts related to ADHD include: ▶ Racing Thoughts: a constant flow of thoughts which are difficult to control making it difficult to focus on any one thing. ▶ Obsessive Worrying: a fixation on specific worries which can make it difficult to complete tasks and make decisions. ▶ Negative Self-talk: a repetition of individuals being overly self-critical causing them to avoid new challenges and opportunities. An ADHD assessment is the essential first step in unravelling negative thinking patterns, enabling individuals to start dealing with their complex emotions. Read more about intrusive thoughts linked to ADHD and the necessity to treat them in our blog: https://lnkd.in/esEVGX5V #ADHD #racingthoughts #obsessiveworrying #selftalk #ADHDassessment
