Do ONE Good Thing 💧 The UK’s Leading Ethical Hydration Brand

About us

One is a life-changing brand. Every One funds clean water projects in areas that need it most. So far, with our partner The One Foundation, we have helped raise over £30 million and changed the lives of over 5 million people. One Water was launched back in 2005 with a simple vision: to sell bottled water in the UK to fund water projects across the world. The name One represents the idea that you can’t change a billion people’s lives, but if you can change just One that’s a definition of success. Choose One Water and join the fight to end water poverty.

Water can create peace or spark conflict. When water is scarce or polluted, or when people have unequal, or no access, tensions can rise between communities and countries and as climate emergency increases, so do its impacts. The theme of World Water Day 2024 is ‘Water for Peace’, promoting the idea that if we cooperate on water, we can create a positive ripple effect generating large-scale change and work together to protect and conserve our most precious resource by making small changes to our daily lives. So how can you help? We’ve put together ten easy pledges that you can bring into your life today. How many of these changes will you try to adopt this World Water Week? Let us know below.

We had a fantastic time on Sunday, partnering with Runna at their Battersea Park 5k with Anna Archer! We were on hand providing cans of One Water as racers crossed the finish line and ensuring everyone kept their hydration levels up in the sunny weather. ☀ This event had community at its core and was bursting with energy from start to finish. It was a pleasure to be involved in and an absolute joy to witness! 💙 Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or are tentatively dipping your toe into the running world, we can’t recommend the Runna team and events more.

On Sunday we had the pleasure of hosting a 5k race in partnership with Anna Archer, one of our biggest ambassadors and also a Runna investor. This was our biggest event to date with over 1500 runners all racing 5k with finisher T-shirts, Anna-themed race bib with official race timing and a Battersea Park inspired medal. A huge thank you to our partners who supported the event: Hyperice, PerfectTed One Water RUN SOCIAL and Anna's ONTHERUN pop-up shop, all of whom provided our runners with essential post run goodies. The day was incredible and we are overwhelmed by the support and love from Anna's and the broader running community. Thank you to everyone who helped create the most perfect day for Anna, one another and the Runna team. Stay tuned for our future Runna events!

Founder and Managing Director of One Water | The One Foundation | Global Ethics Limited | 5 million lives changed and £30 million raised to support clean water projects worldwide.

I have a confession to make. I would rather be riding a motorbike and talking to people than sitting at my desk. Fortunately for me, I recently had the rare privilege of being able to do the former and not the latter & I am incredibly grateful to Rosemary Brett & Jonathan mcivor for making that happen. We have have a very long-term relationship with World Duty Free - WDF  & when chatting about an upcoming incentive, I semi-jokingly said, ‘Why don’t I visit all the stores on the motorbike I rode around the world?’ The next thing I knew, I was being asked when I would be visiting & whether the bike would actually make it. There is more to this story than a bit of a jolly and time away from my desk though. The motorbike in question hadn’t seen the light of day for over 25 years & certainly not on a 2,300-mile back-to-back trip around the UK.  It’s the motorbike that I rode around the world on back in 1998. A whirlwind tour that saw me being shot at, hospitalised, caught in an earthquake & living through a hurricane that killed 10,000 people. It’s the tour that ultimately inspired me to found One Water & The One Foundation. My expectation was that I would turn up, give a sit-down presentation to a few people, say thank you & then move on to the next airport. What actually happened was totally unexpected. Everywhere I went, I was met with open arms and a genuine desire to learn and offer help. It was a totally life-affirming experience. Many of the teams knew a little about what One did, but few knew the backstory of how it started or that we’d changed over 5 million people’s lives with their help. Through these conversations, I also learnt of the struggles that the teams at WDF had experienced in their own lives. Some had lived in poverty, some without access to water. People had lived through hurricanes, been homeless, and had lost people close to them. It was deeply humbling to hear these very personal accounts and they reminded me that everyone has their own story as well as my own one.    Many said they had never spoken of their challenges with colleagues until this point, but all said that they felt the company’s support; like some big crazy family, they had each other’s backs. The more I travelled, the more people I spoke to, the more incredible this company of people felt. There were hugs, tears and laughter, but above all, there was a sense of ‘being in it together’. Changing lives together. Through the simple action of putting a bottle of One water on a shelf and asking a passenger if they’d like water for their flight. This was their legacy, not mine. Spending a month on the road provides plenty of time to think - how many more lives could we change with this level of understanding & enthusiasm? If there are any customers out there that would like me to pay them & their team a similar visit, please do let me know. I’d be delighted to get the bike out again and hit the road (maybe after a quick trip to the mechanics first).
