The Paris 2024 Olympic Games have resulted in a surge in counterfeit luxury goods. According to Robb Report, Paris Police officers have confiscated 63,000 counterfeit items in the run-up to the Games. In April, 11 stores selling fake luxury goods were shut down in one area alone. However, this is only the tip of the iceberg. In 2023, French customs seized 20.5 million counterfeit items, a 78 percent increase on the 11.5 million products confiscated in 2022.
