Oxford Quantum Circuits (OQC) reposted this
„Stuttgart ist the right place to build the future of quantum“, ist Gerald Mullally, CEO bei Oxford Quantum Circuits (OQC), überzeugt. 🤝🌟 🙋 🙋♂️ Baden-Württemberg International (BW_i) Department for Business and Trade Mark Dittmer-Odell CODE_n Start-up BW #InnovatingTogether #TechPartnership #UKBW #UKTechAccelerator #Quantum #QuantumEffects #Quantentechnologie

What is Schrödinger’s cat? 🐈The cat often referred to is Schrödinger’s cat, not a real cat but a theoretical cat used to illustrate quantum superposition. Simply put, Schrödinger’s cat is a thought experiment, or paradox, of quantum superposition. 0️⃣ 1️⃣ Superposition is the ability for a quantum bit to be the linear combination of multiple states. This takes us away from the classical idea of a piece of data being binary (0 or 1) and towards the idea of a distribution of possibilities. In superposition, qubits have the ability to be in multiple states simultaneously. ⚰️ The Schrödinger’s cat theory states that if you seal a cat in a box with something that could kill it, you won't know if the cat is alive or dead until you open the box. Therefore, until the box is opened and the cat observed, the cat is simultaneously dead and alive - much like qubits in superposition which are able to exist in multiple states simultaneously, until measured. Beginners Guide’ today 👉 https://lnkd.in/eE7mZdMe #QuantumComputing #QuantumSuperposition #SchrödingersCat
