🚨 Exciting Update! 🚨 We’ve just launched our 10-week program aimed at supporting young people in supported accommodation, helping them build independent living skills and boost physical activity! 🎉 Week 1 started with a fun and delicious pizza-making session 🍕 led by Shuey & Jodie, the amazing Youth Engagement Workers! Everyone had a blast creating their own pizzas, learning new skills, and enjoying a great time together. A massive thank you to NCS for making this possible through their generous funding. The PAC Training Team attended the MAKE BOLD CHOICES FESTIVAL - SPONSORED by Fuelling The Bold, on Saturday the 7th September in Lancaster. This is an event to promote physical and mental health. There were a range of activities to take part in throughout the day including, yoga, massage, running, gym training etc. The event was well attended and really well organised. During the event PAC were able to take part in the panel talk where Melissa and Andrea were able to advise those attending on the LCC Commission for Public Mental Health Training, as well as promote the World Suicide Prevention Day packs, and explain what information they will find enclosed and how we hope this will encourage them to #startaconversation with someone about mental health and suicide. Melissa and Andrea were able to share how physical fitness has helped to improve their own mental health.

It is World suicide prevention day. World Suicide Prevention Day is an awareness day observed on 10 September every year, in order to provide worldwide commitment and action to prevent suicides. Suicide is a major public health challenge, with more than 700 000 deaths each year globally. Each suicide has far-reaching social, emotional, and economic consequences, and deeply affects individuals and communities worldwide.
