Job security and work-life balance are now the top priorities (83%), ahead of pay (82%), especially among younger generations. It's the first time in the history of Randstad’s Workmonitor that this has outranked salary. We're seeing a growing gap between what employers say they're prioritising and what employees experience. According to Randstad’s #Workmonitor2025 the stats don't lie: - 32% of employers claim they're focusing on personalised skills development and career mobility. - But only 22% of Gen X and 24% of Baby Boomers feel L&D opportunities have actually increased in the last 6 months.
