In this prestigious industry accolade, our score of 91 was the highest rating of all real estate companies. This year, CFI added a Sustainability Award, measuring alignment against tenants’ corporate environmental requirements. Pembroke shared big news at EXPO REAL (Messe München) when members of our team, Jack Clark Ed Fryzer and Christian Bosiljanoff, met with Adam Branson of PropertyEU to discuss our plans to diversify our portfolio with more residential properties in some of the world’s leading cities. Dependent on where you live, these properties are either called multi-family or BTR (build to rent.) In recent years we have acquired many learnings as people have returned to work in Pembroke properties across the globe. Our tenants want their offices to be more than workspace, so we’re committed to elevated, thoughtfully designed placemaking, providing amenities and the delivery of a full range of complementary experiences that create community. It turns out the same people that are asking for more in the workplace want more in the places where they live. We’ve learned a lot from the community of people living in our BTR property, The Lark, which we acquired last December, and so, we are looking for more residential properties in cities where Pembroke office buildings are, so we can create communities for people not only at work but also at the places they call home. What a whirlwind the past few days have been in Munich!!! Pembroke was delighted to return in large numbers to EXPO REAL (Messe München), a top-tier real estate conference that draws many thousands from across the globe. EXPO presented a wonderful opportunity for our team to meet with business partners across Europe, Australia and the US to advance exciting plans. This conference was super charged with energy and momentum. We are thrilled to share that yesterday Pembroke handed over the newly constructed C5 building in Helsinki! We are delivering a new 14,700 sqm best-in-class LEED Platinum v4 office building that forms part of the Nordea Vallila Campus in Helsinki. The building is unique in many ways- it´s the first central Helsinki office building utilizing geothermal energy to supply more than 80% of its heating needs. The use of solar panels contributes to its “A” class energy rating. This ground plus 6-office floor office building provides large, highly flexible 2,000 m² floorplates, 2.85m floor-to-ceiling height, exceptional high quality indoor climate and circadian lighting. Kristin Willerström, Senior Director Nordic Region: "The handover of the building shows our commitment to Helsinki. It is strengthening the Vallila area as a business destination and a banking and finance hub. Pembroke is thrilled to have been a part of this year’s ‘Now or Never’ festival, an immersive, collaborative celebration that brings together art, community and architecture throughout Melbourne’s city centre. At our iconic @T&G Building we hosted an incredible art installation: TWIFSY (The World Is Fine, Save Yourself)’ by artist Peter Thiedeke. Our atrium came alive with this technology-driven, idea-provoking art display which vividly projects the space where art and technology converge, a theme that's so meaningful to Pembroke and our innovative and creative tenants. Presented by Experimenta in partnership with the T&G Building for the City of Melbourne, TWIFSY explores the implications of our society transitioning toward an increasingly digitally-driven world. Made of modular, mixed-media panels, the incredible installation challenges us to embrace being an innovator with creative autonomy and view technology as friend not foe. In our Pembroke properties, we always are delighted to bring together community, and in this instance, we provided a platform for artists to engage with the community through a series of lunchbox talks and a VIP 'mixer with the artist’ event, where tenants and the wider community were invited to come and meet the artist of TWIFSY and enjoy live music and canapes. The artist's thought-provoking installation will remain in the atrium of the T&G until 20 September 2024.
