With heavy hearts, the Hines community mourns the sudden loss of Hasty Johnson. After a distinguished 45-year career at Hines, culminating with the roles of Chief Investment Officer and finally Vice Chairman, he retired in 2023 but remained connected as a senior advisor and trusted friend. Hasty meant a great deal to our firm and to three generations of the Hines family. His indelible persona, inspirational wisdom and cultural contributions will forever be part of the fabric of Hines and in all the people whose lives he touched. In his honor, the Hines family and firm have seeded the C. Hastings Johnson Memorial Fund to support causes dear to Hasty's heart, including historic and cultural preservation, as well as coastal conservation efforts: https://lnkd.in/gaTVJvt4 Please join us in sharing a favorite memory in the comments.

We have acquired a new purpose-built student accommodation development in Valencia for the Hines European Real Estate Partners III fund. Currently under construction, the project intends to deliver 650 beds across two buildings in a single complex. It expands Hines’ Spanish residential portfolio beyond Madrid and Barcelona to Spain’s third-largest city. In line with our strategic convictions for European student housing, this asset is located near top universities, Universidad Politécnica de València and Universitat de València, providing convenient accommodation for the city’s significant student population. La Patacona beach is also a few minutes away, offering attractive stays for summer tourists. Upon anticipated completion in 2027, the asset will be managed by aparto Student, Hines’ student living platform. #Living #RealEstateInvesting #MarketingCommunication

At Davos this year, I had the opportunity to discuss a question that’s top of mind for every leader: What should we prioritize in 2025? For those of us in real estate and investing, it’s clear we’re entering a new cycle. The era of easy capital and tailwinds are behind us. Leaders must now navigate a new playbook to win. At Hines, we’re focused on how to turn these challenges into opportunities, staying ahead of what’s next. #leadership #investing #realestate #strategy #WEF #Davos
We asked participants at #Davos, from CEOs to professors and a Buddhist monk, the same question: ‘What should leaders prioritize in 2025?’ Here's what they answered.
