📌 Interesting reading Our members at Rathbones Charity Investment Management and UK Community Foundations recently collaborated on a report on the benefit of bringing younger trustees on board 👏🏻 According to the Charity Commission, the average age of charity trustees in the UK currently sits at 57 years old, and more than two thirds of trustees are over the age of 50. Interim Co-CEO at UKCF, Kaveed A. said: “While there is value in the knowledge and expertise that more experienced trustees bring to the board, there is also an exciting opportunity to have younger people involved. Philanthropy Impact was honoured to attend our member FareShare UK’s 30th Anniversary event yesterday 🎉 The event, hosted at the prestigious House of Commons in London, shone a light on the brilliant work FareShare has completed over the last 30 years in partnership with over 850 companies across the supply chain, including Asda, Sainsbury's and Tesco. In attendance included the Lord Newby OBE, Member of the House of Lords, John Bason, Executive Chair of FareShare and Rt Hon Steve Reed OBE MP, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
