Oak veneered birch plywood spacers between the IKEA Metod cabinets, combined with custom shelving in the wall units, give the IKEA kitchen an elevated, handcrafted look. Festive fun at the Plykea Christmas Party! ✨ With some of our team working remotely, it’s always a treat to bring everyone together. We started the day with some fizz + gingerbread, and wrapped it up with an incredible lunch at the Smoking Goat Bar in Shoreditch 😋 A big Merry Christmas to all our amazing customers and Plykea pals when it comes! ❤️🎄

This week, we welcomed 2nd-year Product & Furniture Design students from Kingston School of Art for a workshop tour and design briefing. The brief? To create innovative products using small plywood offcuts donated by Plykea. The brief challenges students to work within the constraints of limited material sizes and real-world production parameters. This project not only reduces waste but also encourages sustainable, resource-conscious design while giving students invaluable hands-on experience. We’re proud to support the next generation of designers as they explore how constraints can drive creativity and innovation.
