🌿 Join Us in Celebrating Green Friday! 🌿 As we approach #BlackFriday, I want to take a moment to reflect on the significance of conscious shopping and the impact we can make when we choose to give back. This year, from November 27-29, we are launching our #GreenFriday campaign to promote mindful consumerism. For every purchase made during this time, we are donating 10% of our sales to the Marylebone Project, the UK’s largest women-only homelessness center. With over 90 years of dedicated service, they provide vital support to women facing homelessness and crisis 365 days a year. In the spirit of gratitude, we’re also offering complimentary delivery and a box of our famous brownies with every order. But this isn’t just about the brownies or discounts; it's about making choices that reflect our values. Let’s come together to raise awareness about the social and environmental implications of our shopping habits. While Black Friday is often associated with consuming, it can also serve as a powerful reminder to shop mindfully and give back. Each of us has the power to contribute to a brighter future for our planet and our communities, even during the busiest shopping season. 🐟 🌊We’re making waves! Pow Food | BCorp, Nutrition-led Catering In line with our mission to protect our planet 🌍, we’ve made the bold decision to remove salmon from our ready meal menus. This proactive step helps safeguard dwindling wild salmon populations and supports healthier aquatic ecosystems.💚 Salmon farming poses significant environmental challenges, including water pollution and habitat destruction so by switching to trout, a more sustainable alternative, we can continue to provide you with delicious, omega-rich meals while reducing our ecological footprint. 👣 So… Exciting news: Our Harissa Glazed Salmon, Salmon Teriyaki, Goan Fish Curry, and British Fish Pie have had a trout makeover! Get ready for meals that are kinder to your health and our planet! If you’d like to find out more about sustainable fish options, explore resources via Wildfish!🌊🌿 #Sustainability #EatWellFeelGood #TroutNotSalmon #BCorp #EcoFriendlyEating #wildfish #omega3

  • 🌟 Exciting Announcement from Pow Food! 🌟 It's been a while but we are thrilled to share our recent collaboration with The Marylebone Project, a remarkable charity dedicated to empowering women facing homelessness in our community. ❤️ At Pow Food, we believe in the power of giving back, and we’re committed to making a difference wherever we can. Our team had the honour of working alongside The Marylebone Project to raise funds and host a delightful BBQ for the amazing women residing there. Our goal was simple: bring smiles, delicious healthy food, and a sense of community to those who need it most. With the help of our clients, we raised money and served mouth-watering dishes, laying on a heart-warming afternoon filled with joy and good food - every resident felt the warmth of support and companionship. ✨ Here’s why we believe initiatives like this are so important: Community Engagement: By actively participating in local charity projects, we strengthen our ties and foster a sense of belonging among all community members. Awareness: Collaborating with organisations like The Marylebone Project helps shine a light on the challenges faced by vulnerable groups, encouraging others to join the cause.   Empowerment: Sharing meals and moments goes beyond nourishment—it’s about uplifting spirits and creating meaningful connections. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed to making this BBQ a success, and we look forward to more opportunities to give back. • We’re excited to introduce you to Ali Warburton, our CEO and founder! A rather overdue post, we thought the best way to help you get to know Ali was to ask her some questions, so here they are. 1. What were you doing before pow? I had two catering businesses before POW. For 20 years we were the go to caterers for A List talent flying in from LA requiring bespoke nutritional catering. In 2005 - 2010 I ran a venue on the Portobello road specialising in raw, healthy food which turned into an events space at night! 2. Where does your passion for healthy food come from? I’ve always loved my food, I’d be the first asking for seconds from a young age, and from a family of four siblings, mealtimes were always a focus. My passion for healthy food came when we started working with our clients from LA, with that came an understanding of the huge gap of nutritional awareness between LA and London especially within the hospitality industry. 3. What’s your favourite restaurant in London and why? It’s difficult to name one! The one thing I look for when picking a restaurant is transparency on where they source their products. I do however love a Sunday roast, so if I pick one I’d have to say The Cow in Notting Hill. It’s the place I associate to many wonderful memories with friends and family 4. What’s something that might surprise people about you (fear, hobby..?) I had a bad stutter as child and this is still something I struggle with on a daily basis,  however one of the most eye-opening things for me was being able to view my stutter as simply a part of who I am—and not something that controls who I am. 5. How do you like to spend your time out of work? My favourite thing is spending time with my two girls and my two naughty Jack Russell’s. I start every day with a meditation. I also like to eat out and have a dance with friends. 6. Can you share a memorable moment or achievement since starting the company? Being the first female led caterer in the UK to achieve B-Corp accreditation. This was driven by Emily, my daughter and co founder of Pow food and our head of sustainability.

Global Head of Talent, People & Culture @ The Portfolio Group | We are Hiring! 07816 123389 gemma.bartlett@theportfoliogroup.co.uk

Yesterday was Culture Thursday in the Bruin office which tied in nicely with #timetotalk day. We had a delicious lunch provided by Pow Food Catering and Home Delivery which supports several local charities that focus on wellbeing, mental health and community engagement. We had a lunchtime mindfulness session run by Stretching the City which is great for improved productivity, morale and reduced stress. We also held a coffee roulette, a great opportunity to speak to people in the wider business and have a chat about what good mental health means for us. How do you prioritise your #mentalhealth and #wellbeing? How important is it that the company you work for supports this?
