Placing Platform Limited is a not for profit company set up in 2016 with a pioneering vision: to create a single market solution for electronic placing that would allow brokers and insurers to quote, negotiate and bind business electronically. Since the first risk was bound on our platform in July 2016, PPL has expanded to cover almost all classes of risks placed in the London market, and is used by around 200 carriers and 200 broker firms. The success of the platform is attributed to the collaborative nature of its development. With representatives of the entire market contributing expertise, our platform is truly by the market for the market. PPL supports face to face negotiation across the placement process by enabling a faster and more efficient process for less complex risks. @swimthenight challenge complete, so I wanted to thank all those who sponsored and supported me swimming 1km per hour between 7pm -7am. The money raised will go to the provision of entertainment equipment for the children receiving care at The Royal Brompton. https://lnkd.in/ePai-PbQ. If you are looking for a challenge, I would recommend this event, but please note that 4 hours of swimming in an outdoor pool through the night in October is not for the faint hearted. We're proud to support The Brompton Fountain and all the incredible work they do, providing vital equipment and facilities for children with life limiting conditions. Go strong Colin O'Malley!
On 5th October I will be taking part in an event called 'Swim the night' to raise funds for The Brompton Fountain, the children's charity at The Royal Brompton Hospital that supports cardiac, respiratory and critical care. The money raised will go towards the provision of entertainment equipment for the children whilst they are in hospital from cot mobiles, arts & crafts to tablets. Swim the Night involves swimming 1km every hour from 7pm to 7am. Any help would be most welcome by the children, the charity and even me, especially whilst getting into a pool at 3am in the morning. Thank you
