The UK's leading charity for young people, offering free courses and support to start careers.

About us

The Prince’s Trust believes that every young person should have the chance to succeed. We help young people aged 11-30 develop the confidence and skills to live, learn and earn. The youth charity was founded by His Majesty The King in 1976 when he was HRH The Prince Of Wales. Since then it has helped more than 1,000,000 young people. Three in four young people on Prince’s Trust courses move into work, education or training. If you're a young person, or want to enquire on behalf of a young person, call us free on 0800 842 842 or Live Chat here > www.princes-trust.org.uk. We're open from 9am-6pm, Mon-Fri.

Today, the Julia Rausing Trust has announced a £10 million grant to The Prince’s Trust. This philanthropic commitment is made in memory of leading philanthropist Julia Rausing, who sadly passed away earlier this year. This exceptional gift marks almost £40 million donated to life-changing support for young people since 2016 from The Julia and Hans Rausing Trust. It will build on Julia’s extraordinary legacy as a philanthropist, and focus on her commitment to supporting young people in London, the South West and young women in the most underserved communities. “The Prince’s Trust remembers and celebrates Julia with great fondness, as a philanthropic leader who inspired others and cared deeply about making a difference to the lives of others. She always loved visiting the projects she supported, meeting young people and their families, and hearing about the lives and experiences of those she helped.” John Booth, Chair of The Prince’s Trust Learn more about Julia Rausing and her support for The Prince’s Trust here > https://brnw.ch/21wLqhC #WomenSupportingWomen #PhilanthropicGift #Legacy #Philanthropy

In just over three weeks time, 11 incredible Prince’s Trust supporters will be at the start line of the challenge of a lifetime. Across nine epic days, they will cover 980 miles of the most beautiful and scenic landscapes accessible on two wheels, cycling from Lands End to John O’Groats. Whilst riding nearly 100 miles a day, and the elevation twice that of Mount Everest, they will also be raising funds to support young people across the UK. One of those riders is James Bennet, MBE. James said, "In my early life I had a number of people that believed in me and gave me a chance. That is what The Prince's Trust do." You can follow their epic challenge and support The Prince's Trust Ride Across Britain team through their fundraising page: https://brnw.ch/21wLThm

Its #TimetoInspire!   On Tuesday the 13th of August, The Prince’s Trust celebrated International Youth Day in partnership with Watches of Switzerland Group PLC. We understand that many young people may feel worried or uncertain about their future. Together, through #TimetoInspire we are committed to showing young people that their futures remain bright and full of potential.   This special event offered young people the opportunity to engage directly with Watches of Switzerland Group PLC trustees; Terence Parris, John Hannah, and Johnathan Joseph (aka DJ Spoony), CEO Brian Duffy, and other inspiring colleagues from across the business through a range of engaging discussions and workshops.   The Prince’s Trust and Watches of Switzerland partnership supports disadvantaged young people to access quality education through the funding of The Prince’s Trust education programmes in the UK and US. Together, we have supported over 8,500 young people to develop the skills and confidence they need to build a better future for themselves and their communities.
