We're building a world where passion and potential define a young person's future.
About us
Project Access is a global non-profit startup fighting for equal access to top universities. We help underprivileged students apply for, gain admission to and succeed at top universities – for students, by students and forever free of charge THE PROBLEM Bright students from underprivileged backgrounds are severely underrepresented at the world’s top universities, because they face a number of barriers: 1. They're less likely to apply, because they are lacking role models to identify with, which often leads them to undermatch or never apply to selective schools 2. They're less likely to receive an offer - Lacking information and application feedback, they are disadvantaged in the admissions process 3. They're less likely to graduate - Lacking support, they struggle academically and socially even after admission Learn more about the problem of unequal access in higher education, what Project Access does to address it and our impact by checking out our website; also, be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Finally, join more than 3,300 mentors and 200 volunteer team members by signing up online - click below to volunteer, sign up as a mentor, support us financially or in other way you'd like. 🌟How do we define Project Access’ culture?🌟 We asked our members to tell us how they define Project Access and here are our results! ⭐ The values that we settled on are the 3 P’s… PASSION 💫 PEOPLE 🫂 PURPOSE🚶 At Project Access, we believe that passion and potential - not privilege - should define a young person's future. Every action we, an organization by students for students, take advances this mission. We are a global, tight-knit community where we support, encourage, and learn from each other. We grow together, challenge the status quo and make a difference from day one. We are here to create real change. Whether you want to mentor, join our team, or partner with us, there’s a role for everyone in creating a fairer future. Let’s make higher education accessible to all.

Six months into my gap year, I think I *might* have misunderstood the concept of ‘taking a break’… I'd imagined this year as a chance to slow down before my master's, but working alongside incredible people with shared passions has been anything but restful—it's been exhilarating. So, what have I been up to? August: I attended the European Forum Alpbach on a scholarship, pitching the idea of a "green comedy tour" in my application. I joined inspiring seminars like ‘Accelerating Climate Action through Science and Partnerships’ with Diana Urge-Vorsatz (Central European University, IPCC) and Karin Reiss-Haimbala (UNIDO), and ‘A Place of Safety’ with wonderful Royal Academy of Dramatic Art artists. After these sessions, Radfeld felt like home thanks to Abdelrahman Abbas Elian, Jeffery Nketiah, and Patrick Ben. I've since been working with some Hungarian attendees—Anna Rebák, Csenge Pap, Julian Maxim Zell, and Zsófia Berta—on establishing a Hungarian EFA Club, an initiative we're excited to bring to life. Stay tuned! October: First stop: London. The annual summit of Project Access was a chance to celebrate how far we've come and strategize for a future where passion and potential, not privilege, define a young person's success. I am fortunate to have spent more than three years at PA, finally meeting some highly valued colleagues like Aakansha Das, Lukas Popp, Simon Schünemann, Taran Glasson, and many others the character limit won't let me mention. Next stop: Madrid. A Hungarian Youth Association delegation joined the Forum on the Future of the EU at IE University, well organized by Equipo Europa. Special thanks to my brilliant colleagues—Ákos Angyal, Bálint Györfi-Tóth, Eszter Olasz, Imola Gellén, Luca Rybaltovszki, Miklós G., and Nóra Kovács—for leading a workshop on ‘Effective Communication in a Politically Polarized Environment’, a particularly relevant topic in today's political climate. Finally, a humbling 🎃 opportunity—attending Ambassador David Pressman’s Halloween event. It was a privilege to meet Hungary’s trailblazers across various fields for the second time, even if the impostor syndrome (or maybe ghosts?!) often whispered, "what am I even doing here?" December: HYA launched a podcast series in collaboration with the British Embassy Budapest, featuring inspiring UK alumni thanks to the impressive efforts of Anna Till, Emma Skoda, Eszter Olasz, Júlia Vörös, Krisztián Liszka, Nóra Kovács, and Viktória Kulich. Next stop? The Netherlands in February! (Looking at you, Netherlands Embassy in Hungary! 👀 Jokes aside, we would be honored to work with you, too.) These past six months have been filled with friendships, deep conversations, and plenty of new ideas. I'm grateful for the support of Sciences Po and Crous de Paris so that I don't starve in the meantime, and I'm really looking forward to the rest of this journey! #Diplomacy #Education #EU #Leadership #YouthEmpowerment

🚨 The U.S. education landscape is evolving, with big changes aimed at increasing access and equity for all students! 🚨 From banning legacy admissions to making SAT/ACT scores optional, universities are moving toward policies that prioritize potential over privilege. A huge thank you to all the inspiring speakers at the Global Excel Summit 2025! 🌟 I’m so grateful to Project Access for this incredible opportunity. Over the past two days, I've absorbed more Excel knowledge than I ever thought possible! Before this summit, Excel often left me confused. The speakers openly noted, “I can’t believe someone doesn’t know about this”—and that someone was definitely me! 😅 Leila Gharani’s insights on updates were so helpful, and Danielle Stein Fairhurst emphasized the importance of presenting data in an engaging way—not just numbers. Ian Schnoor, CFA, CFM’s strategies for using Excel as a “Swiss Army Knife for Finance Professionals” felt like I was being let in on some valuable insights! A shout-out to Catherine Mondragon MFA, BA for pulling me into the networking session—I truly appreciated her kindness! I’m motivated to continue my learning journey and harness the full potential of Excel. Here’s to new beginnings! 🚀✨
