It’s Global Recycling Day, and now more than ever, it’s important to highlight the role recycling plays in protecting our planet for the future. Every year, billions of tonnes of natural resources are extracted from the Earth - but they won’t last forever. That’s why we see waste as an opportunity, not a problem. At Protec, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Our GreenCircle Certified Closed-Loop Remanufacturing Scheme is a UK first in construction, ensuring that all of our ProplexRE protection sheets are made from 100% waste plastic - conserving resources, reducing waste, and cutting carbon. With over £2m invested into our cutting-edge wash plant and recycling line, we collect used protection sheets from your site, recycle them, and transform them into new ones. Closing the loop for a greener future. So far, we’ve remanufactured over 6,000 tonnes of waste that would have otherwise gone to landfill or energy recovery, turning it into high-quality, sustainable products. #GRD25 #globalrecyclingday #recycling #sustainability #closedloop Global Recycling Day

We’re excited to be welcoming Kier Group to our Manufacturing, Recycling, and Distribution Centre in Sheffield next week. We’ve worked closely with Kier for many years and this visit marks an important step in our shared commitment to sustainability. Our £2m investment in a state-of-the-art wash plant and recycling line enables us to collect used temporary protection materials directly from site and recycle them into new products. A UK first in construction, our ClosedLoop system ensures that all ProplexRE protection is manufactured using 100% waste plastic, conserving natural resources and reducing environmental impact. By choosing ProplexRE, Kier is actively supporting their sustainability goals while driving positive change in the industry. ♻️ We look forward to showcasing our innovative processes and strengthening our partnership! It’s Women in Construction Week👷♀️ The construction industry is evolving, but there’s still work to do. Women now make up 15% of the UK construction workforce - an increase over the past decade - but representation in skilled trades remains just 1%, and the gender pay gap is still a reality. At Protec, we’re committed to building a more inclusive industry by fostering equal opportunities and empowering women to thrive. #WomenInConstructionWeek #WomenInConstruction #Construction #WICW25

We’re proud to have worked with MTX Contracts Ltd on their recent work at Colchester Hospital, supporting their commitment to sustainability through our ClosedLoop Remanufacturing Scheme - the UK’s first GreenCircle Certified closed-loop recycling system in the construction industry. Together, we’ve achieved some incredible results: ✅ 11.78 tonnes of protection materials collected ✅ 62.43m³ diverted from landfill ✅ 41.23 tonnes CO₂ saved—equivalent to planting 2,062 trees! ✅ 16,361 ProplexRE sheets remanufactured MTX Contracts were fully on board with implementing this initiative, and the results speak for themselves. We’re looking forward to working with them again on their next hospital project, continuing to reduce plastic waste and drive positive change in construction. #closedloop #recycling #sustainability

Great to welcome the Portview team to our production and closed-loop facility this week!
Many thanks to the team from Portview for taking time to travel from Ireland to visit our production and closed loop facility this week. Myself and Joe Callander welcomed Mike Ward FRICS FCABE CEnv, Kennedy Clinton and Paris Wilton, where we had the opportunity to demonstrate production and how the closed loop scheme will support their projects. We gave a live example of the process in place on one of their key London projects. We are supporting with a full protection strategy and collecting back used material from site to be remanufactured back into ProplexRE for future jobs. We also demonstrated our ProSignRe signage range which we hope to support Portview with on future projects.
