Health and safety is our first priority, and we’re delighted to work with Barnbrook Systems Ltd., a global engineering solutions specialist, to use the latest in remote sensing technology to advance the safer use of green hydrogen. Barnbrook's BlueDot remote sensing device can track leaks and monitor changes in pressure, temperature and humidity. When fixed to a pressurised cannister, it transmits data in real time to enable an immediate alert should the pressure or other variables change - as well as feeding into ongoing reporting. Jon Constable, Protium’s Chief Operating Officer, spoke this morning on sustainable mobility at the Farnborough International Airshow (FIA2024). Participating in the SAE International Sustainability Workshop, Jon joined other industry experts to discuss aviation's ambitious role in combating climate change covering electrification, hydrogen, sustainable alternate aviation fuels, and new lightweight materials. Sustainability is a key theme at FIA2024, with a number of thought-leading sessions focused on accelerating the conversation around Net Zero and highlighting the importance of collaboration across global sectors. The event runs until Friday, July 26, and attracts over 80,000 visitors, including the UK’s Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, who attended on the opening day. As the largest green hydrogen company in Wales, we’re delighted to support the H2 Bay Expo taking place in Swansea tomorrow. We’ve been producing #greenhydrogen in South Wales since March 2023, enabling end users to trial decarbonisation solutions such as fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV) and generators. We have been powering hydrogen trials and events in South Wales including bus trials, Wales & West Utilities fleet trials, the recent Wales Airshow and the H2 Bay EXPO. We’re proud to announce today a partnership with Hydrogen technology specialist, Fuel Cell Systems Ltd. (FCSL), to demonstrate the viability and availability of green hydrogen now to power vehicle trials and projects   The partnership is in action at the Goodwood Festival of Speed where we are refuelling Toyota’s hydrogen vehicles at the event. Toyota are showcasing their new European-built, hydrogen-powered GR Yaris and Fuel Cell Hilux Prototype, a version of the legendary pick-up being used to explore the potential for using fuel cell technology in light commercial vehicles.   Green hydrogen technology represents a significant step forward in sustainable transportation. As the UK's construction and aggregates world gathers today for Hillhead - International quarrying, construction + recycling show, it's great to see the strides that the sector is making towards using cleaner energy. Protium recently provided green hydrogen for a pilot aiming to power an entire site compound using a zero-emission hydrogen fuel cell generator. The innovative pilot saw partners, that included the GRAHAM Group, Connected Places Catapult, and Hydrologiq, successfully demonstrate the feasibility of green hydrogen in the construction environment - from the multiple aspects of the supply chain, deployment planning, refuelling, through to operations.
