One of our best qualities as a team here at Qualter Hall is our ability to evolve. This has been evidenced repeatedly over the years through teamwork to overcome challenges in our marketplace and projects. We have longstanding accreditation to three management systems: Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental. All three have continuous improvement embedded into their philosophy. To fully benefit from this, we have a process to make sure we capture as many good ideas as we can from our workforce, ensure that they are all given due consideration and actioned when a business benefit is clear. Our Plater, Steve, suggested that our directors offer a prize for the best idea each quarter - a great way to encourage participation in the scheme. Everything starts with good preparation.   Our workshop facilities are no exception. We have a wide range of machines and processes to prepare materials ready for fabrication and machining. From initial descaling and shot blasting, our prep bay has a variety of cutting and profiling machines to take plate, bar and sections to produce the basic building blocks for manufacture and fabrication of complex assemblies.   Before getting into the workshop, we can support concept development or detailed design - or we can take existing designs and bring them to life. Post-manufacture, we can integrate electrical, control and hydraulic systems to create a fully actuated complex assembly – suitable for any operating environment.   But it all starts with preparation and good planning.
