Quantum had the pleasure of joining colleagues in Esslingen, Germany for the IWGA Annual General Meeting earlier this week. Karlsruhe (GER) was confirmed as host of The World Games 2029, signalling a very bright future for the event. Among other notable presentations and initiatives, membership of the IWGA increased to 40 after members voted to approve full membership for International Federation of American Football - IFAF and the INTERNATIONAL CHEER UNION. The AGM was also an opportunity to meet with our counterparts from China ahead of TWG 2025 in Chengdu next year, with integrated planning for our services now well underway. #RoadToChengdu #TWG2025

Quantum's latest Event Evaluation Report has been published this week and details the impact of the IFF Women's World Floorball Championships 2023 in Singapore across a range of measures specific to the International Floorball Federation. The purpose of these reports and our subsequent recommendations are to develop learning resources for future organisers as well as creating a marketing tool that demonstrates the reach and value of Floorball events to potential future partners. While the IFF Women’s World Floorball Championships 2023 (WFC 2023) in Singapore was only the second time that floorball’s pinnacle event has been held outside Europe, it succeeded in capturing the interest of floorball fans from around the world, evidenced by an event evaluation report produced by Quantum Consultancy. The media results from the WFC 2023, including cumulative TV audience of 5.4 million, 3.3 million live views of match streams and 6.2 million social media impressions, confirm the growing appeal of women’s floorball. It is hoped that the WFC 2023 will help to stimulate the growth of floorball in Singapore and South-East Asia, both in terms of participation, as well as the professional and commercial development of the sport. Quantum's research team is ending the year back where we started it, in Singapore, this time observing the International Floorball Federation Women's World Floorball Championships 2023 which concluded over the weekend. Sweden defeated Finland 6-4 in a thrilling final to secure an 11th gold medal. Quantum will deliver an Event Evaluation Report in 2024, continuing with the event impact assessment and strategy development monitoring processes initiated in 2021.

Quantum attended the 2023 Sport Event Taiwan Workshop Annual Forum earlier this month. Head of Insights & Analytics, Krzysztof Kropielnicki, delivered a keynote speech on the topic of implementing sustainability strategies in sport - a priority area for the sport industry across the region. Case studies and initiatives discussed during the keynote included SailGP, Extreme E, 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, Juventus Football Club, Forest Green Rovers Football Club and Real Betis Balompié, all of which are delivering measureable progress in their respective sustainability endeavours.
