Making mountains more accessible to the younger generation. We've partnered with the Jonathan Conville Memorial Trust, a UK-based charity dedicated to introducing young people to climbing and mountaineering. Training them in the skills and techniques required to safely advance to Alpine or Scottish winter environments. Jon Frederick, Marketing Director at Rab, added: “We are excited about our new partnership with the JCMT. Having lived his whole life in Neustift in the Stubai Valley, Rab athlete Christian Stern has dedicated himself to ultra trail running through the region since 2017. Mountain navigation, in British Sign Language. Our partners Glenmore Lodge have teamed up with Morag Skelton, a Deaf mountaineering, rock climbing, and skiing instructor, to deliver Scotland's first hill navigation training course in BSL. Developed for people who are Deaf or hard of hearing to provide an opportunity for them to grow their skills and confidence in the outdoors, this course teaches the fundamental skills of navigation, map reading, how to look after yourself on the hills and emergency procedures.
