Introducing New PETRICHOR TECHNOLOGY™ Unlike traditional waterproof technology, our new PETRICHOR hydrophilic membrane actively breathes to physically transport moisture away from damp layers and skin, and out into the air. The membrane manages your own microclimate to enable you to move fast and light while staying dry - the harder you work, the harder it works. This technology excels even when your baselayer is slightly wet, the air is cold and damp, and you need to move fast through the mountains. Ultimate breathability, guaranteed shelter. 🌧️

Your courage and perseverance define the spirit of this race. To the organisers… This race simply wouldn’t be possible without you. The countless hours of meticulous planning, the unseen dedication, and your love for the event are the backbone of its success. Your efforts ensure the Spine Race remains the extraordinary event it is. To the volunteers… Your support for the racers has been unparalleled. From your encouraging words to your selfless commitment, you’ve made an indelible mark on their journeys. You are the unsung heroes, giving your time and energy to help achieve greatness. To the medics… Your expertise and tireless dedication are vital to the success of the race. Montane Winter Spine Day 7 The race continues to inspire! Almost every runner has now made it to the Bellingham checkpoint within the time limit! #TeamMontane Liam Steinbeck arrived at the Bellingham checkpoint at 16:30 and is now taking a well-earned rest. True to his positive and uplifting nature, Liam has been cheering on fellow racers, encouraging them to dig deep and keep going even when the odds felt stacked against them. We’re so proud of you Liam, keep being you, you’re absolutely smashing it 👏 A huge congratulations to Sarah Perry (115:07:52), Mel Sykes (132:23:35) and Laura Swanton-Rouvelin (120:16:11) who completed the gruelling 268-mile journey and crossed the finish line! Other standout finishes include: - Nicola Jackson, the final MRT Challenger North racer, finishing in 98:52:59 - Justine Carruthers, the last women’s Challenger North finisher, crossing the line in 106:46:33 A special shoutout to Ricky McGrath, who set a new record by officially completing the Montane Spine Challenger North in the slowest time recorded: 106:57:33. Let us be very clear - this is an extraordinary feat of endurance, resilience, and determination. We view this as a badge of honour, exemplifying the true spirit of the Spine Race. And of course, the one and only ‘Running Granny’ - a legend in her own right - completed her epic journey to Kirk Yetholm in 103 hours and 34 minutes. Each and every runner embodies the relentless grit and determination that define the Montane Winter Spine 👏
