About us

We all know that the strongest bonds are forged in the mountains. That friendship found, and challenges faced, on the way to the summit shape and change us, driving us forward.  Over the years, both Rab and Lowe Alpine have worked to push boundaries, both in the mountains and in the clothing and equipment we craft. That’s why we’re delighted to announce the partnership between Rab and Lowe Alpine, combining Lowe Alpine's pioneering and revolutionising pack design with Rab’s expertise in crafting rugged, high-performance mountain clothing and equipment. From now on, all Lowe Alpine products will be available on the Rab website, allowing you to match more products for your outdoor needs. Whether you are in the market for a hiking or climbing adventure, you can now shop for Rab clothing and Lowe Alpine packs to meet even more of your needs. Created by passionate mountaineers in 1981 and 1967, Rab and Lowe Alpine have always been driven by the pioneering spirit of their founders. Rab Carrington and the Lowe brothers changed the outdoor industry with their innovations, enabling climbers to progress further into the mountains.    It is our shared heritage and passion for the mountains that unites us, that keeps us pushing forward and seeking new challenges. Together, we make the best rugged, high-performance mountain clothing, equipment and packs to give you absolute protection, comfort and freedom, wherever your journey takes you. We are Rab and Lowe Alpine – we are The Mountain People.

  • We’re good. But that’s not good enough. Fair Wear Foundation awarded us the “Good” status after only 12 months of membership. We’re aiming for better though. So we’ll continue collaborating with Fair Wear and other brands to improve the working conditions at our factories. Making the industry fairer for everyone. “Central to our success is the strong and open relationships we have with our global manufacturing partners. Our membership demonstrates our commitment to work with our partners in the long term to improve practices across our supply chain.” - Matt Gowar, CEO. Supporting workers’ rights to safe, dignified and properly paid employment has always been important to us. In fact, we’ve never bought from a factory our CEO hasn’t personally set foot in. Which is partly how we achieved our first Brand Performance Check in such a short time. We’ve joined a multitude of brands committed to supporting garment workers’ rights. Striving to make sustainable changes to apparel production that champion safe, dignified and properly paid employment for the people making the clothes we wear every day. • We’re proud to be recognised as a Fair Wear Foundation Leader Brand for the third year in a row! This achievement is a testament to the long-standing relationships we hold with our suppliers. We go beyond what’s expected; supporting partners where needed, remediating where required, and enabling investment in workforce and facilities. We are dedicated to improving working conditions for the people making our products and continue to increase scrutiny on Human Rights Due Diligence and transparency within our operations. This year we published our Sourcing Principles, Responsible Business Conduct Policy and a Human Rights Due Diligence Policy together externally for the first time. Our work with Fair Wear is just one piece of a wider agenda to build on our heritage and grow our business the right way. • We’ve just released our 2024 Sustainability Report. For the last five years we’ve actively taken steps to reduce our impact. But realise that we, like everyone, must do more. Driven by performance and accuracy, we’ve taken the opportunity to pause, reflect, and change our approach. We’ve adjusted our journey with new GHG reporting methodology, improved primary data and recommitted to our net-zero ambition with new SBTi verified targets. Discover how we’re also taking action to ignite industry-wide change, improve standards in our supply chain, and foster partnerships for a positive impact. As our business continues to grow, we take the time to reflect on what comes next. Read our 2024 Sustainability Report👇 https://bit.ly/3mTUoZ2 #WhereNext #LoweAlpine
