Reclaim the Rain is one of 25 projects from the £200m Flood & Coastal Resilience Innovation Programme (#FCRIP), managed by the Environment Agency. #FCERMStrategy Reclaim the Rain is a project run by Norfolk and Suffolk County Councils to test new ways of reducing flooding in small rural locations. We’re called Reclaim the Rain because our goal isn’t just to reduce flooding. We also want to capture that excess water and put it to good use. We live in the driest part of the UK, so every drop that falls on it is precious.

We're thrilled to have partnered with Phipps Group and Reclaim The Rain to introduce our SuDSPods to schools across Suffolk and Norfolk! 🌧️ These installations will help mitigate flooding risks in rural areas, creating a safer and more resilient environment for students.
Phipps have partnered with GreenBlue Urban and Reclaim The Rain to install their latest SUDpods into 5 schools across Suffolk and Norfolk. These will be a great addition to the schools and reduce the risk of flooding in small rural locations.
SuDS Pods now installed across our #ReclaimtheRain schools! The SuDS Pods will take roof run-off from the school’s downpipes, reducing the pooling of water on areas of hardstanding, support plant life and pollinators, provide an educational resource, and alleviate pressure on the existing drainage network during storm events. The schools love the new additions, and the team are excited to commence a drawing competition with the pupils to design bespoke laminated fronts for each unit. Thrilled to share that we were successful in our application to the Department for Education (DfE) to be a part of their ‘SuDS in Schools Programme’. We’re working with six schools across #Norfolk and #Suffolk to deliver #sustainablewatermanagement features which reflect their individual water needs, flood risk, and educational aspirations. This year the team have been busy working alongside Concertus Design and Property Consultants Limited to develop bespoke detailed designs for each provision, with delivery planned for 2025! Thanks to Anglian Water Services and GreenBlue Urban we’re excited to be installing 15 SuDS Pods this coming half-term. #reclaimtherain #fcrip #fcermstrategy

The team are pleased to share with you Boxford Village Hall’s completed #raingarden! This feature has not only enhanced the existing community space but serves an important role in #floodriskmanagement, capturing roof runoff during rainfall events, providing a benefit to the surrounding area and reducing pressure on the drainage network. It also acts as an educational resource, helping us to describe how we are managing water sustainably in Boxford. Our Community Working Group and Boxford’s Village Hall Committee have been a big support to the Project Team in bringing this idea to life.
