About us
The council has agreed a new plan, which we hope will help us to make the area an even better place to live. With limited resources we know that we can’t do everything, but we think we can make the biggest difference by prioritising: • helping children and young people to get the best start in life. • helping people to live healthily and age well. • helping people to get a good job and have a nice place to live. • looking after the environment, trying to keep it clean and tidy. We know that we can do more by working together though, so would appreciate if you can help us in making the area a better place to live in, by: • Letting us know if you are worried about a vulnerable child or adult. • Recycle as much as you can. • Keep the area tidy by putting your litter in a bin or taking it home. • Get involved in your community and have your say. • Support our local businesses. • Talk up the local area. It was great to see more young people getting some first hand experience of the construction industry and seeing how a major construction project comes to life!
Leading Social Value Across the North East and Yorkshire | Delivering a Decarbonised Built Environment to Combat Climate Change and Build a Sustainable Future for Generations to Come
Last week, the project delivery team had the pleasure of welcoming two groups from South Bank Primary for a visit to the Eston Leisure Centre development in partnership with Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council. The students were eager to see the progress on site, following previous engagements with them. The visit featured a range of interactive activities, designed to introduce the students to the variety of roles within the construction industry. Throughout the day, individuals from the team shared insights into their specific roles, responsibilities, and career journeys, providing valuable information to the students about the different paths within construction. The students also enjoyed an informative tour of the site, during which they asked numerous insightful questions, reflecting their genuine interest in the project. The event was a resounding success, highlighting the power of collaboration in maximising our impact. Special thanks to Cusssinto Candace Yilbert from Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council and Jacqui Hutchinson from Redcar and Cleveland Voluntary Development Agency for their support. We also want to extend a heartfelt appreciation to Elizabeth Spencer from Eston Leisure Centre for expertly hosting the event, and to the entire project delivery team for their efforts in ensuring everything ran smoothly and successfully.
