I heard Jonathan call in on the topic of ageism, sharing his story and confusion about the problems he was having in his recent job search. The story was about people aged 57 and up being overlooked, but he was concerned he was already facing this in his mid-40s with feedback often hinting at him having too much experience. What I heard, was someone who had so much to offer. His passion and frustration struck a chord with me, so much so, that I called in to offer my opinion. We both agreed that too many talented people are being overlooked, and it’s an issue not spoken about enough. Thanks to the show's team, we connected, and now it’s time for LinkedIn to do its thing.
