🚗 40% of drivers say they have no feasible alternatives to the car for getting to work. 🚌 53% of drivers would use their vehicles less if public transport was better. ✨ RideTandem - Team Day Highlights! ✨ Last week, our RideTandem crew gathered for our quarterly team day! As a remote-first company, these meet-ups are extra special, giving us a chance to reconnect, collaborate, and have some fun face-to-face. This time, we kicked things off at the Kingfisher Suite at Camley Street Natural Park—a beautiful setting for the team to get together and share a nice lunch . It was an awesome day of productive sessions, sharing ideas, and planning for the future. In the evening we headed over to Babel Beerhouse for a pub quiz. Competition was fierce, but it was all in good spirits, and we had a fantastic time. Poor transport links puts nearly a quarter of people off applying for jobs. The latest report from the Social Market Foundation reveals a lack of transport and job location are two of the reasons that people can't find work. When asked "what put you off from applying for a job?" 🚌 24% of people blamed poor transport links ❓ 18% of people said the application process was too hard or complicated 👫 13% said they didn't think they would fit in with the culture More than six million people make up the ‘lost workforce’ (people who want to work but can't) costing the UK £454 billion per year in lost output.
