About us

We're a consultancy and community of practice working to enable better habits and practices for collaboration in complex change. Working alongside leadership teams across sectors to explore better ways of leading, learning and working together to make change happen. Our work with our private clients helps organisations through periods of change such as leadership transitions, mergers & acquisitions, fast growth and culture change initiatives. Alongside our work in the private sector, we also run various initiatives to support leaders and change in the third sector. Our approach is to partner with leaders to help spot patterns and uncover the stories and hidden dynamics that make individuals, teams, and organisations work the way they do. We help people address the often tricky people dynamics within the unpredictable reality of their context and build skills and capability for moving through change more sustainably and effectively. We are proud to be a certified B Corporation and work hard to model and support the implementation of more human, connected, sustainable practices within organisations and beyond.

    🌎 That's a wrap on 2 days at the Blue Earth Summit - exploring ways to transform the way the world works. .. Best bits… 🤜🏼 ‘Uncomfortable conversations’ with Charlotte Sewell ⚡🔶🌿 and Matt Hocking the different provocations made us think! • One of our observations was that there was less discussion about the inner work/capacities we need to work on to get into these gnarly conversations well; there's a reason we so often run for the hills when confronted with questions that provoke us, and ask us to look at how we participate in and perpetuate a system that causes harm. 🎤  Clover Hogan speaking vulnerably about the toll of activism and how important it is for us to work together to build resilience at sitting with the tensions of our work, not collapsing into heaviness and doomsday abdication or happy-clappy positivity to avoid the uncomfortableness.     🔎 𝟭𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁...change happens in the conversations we support... (𝘈 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘺!) We’re often asked, “What type of service do you offer for leadership and culture change?” as if change can be packaged up and delivered neatly. But in our experience, change happens in conversations—in the space between ideas, tensions, and quality reflection. We see our work as creating and holding spaces for good conversations across the senior levels of organisations; and we put labels on those to help sell the work! These conversations—where real issues are surfaced, assumptions are challenged, and new perspectives emerge—are where it counts. (𝘈 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘺) Whether it’s finance, healthcare, tech, or any other sector, the core challenges of leadership remain the same—facing tough situations, working well with others, and handling the unknown. What really matters isn’t the industry, but how people interact, make decisions, and tackle the everyday competing priorities that exist in every organisation. Sometimes, we've found having experience in our client's sector helpful (and we certainly try to ensure project teams have some relevance to our client), but sometimes, our knowledge can also get in the way of our work...     One month to go until our 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁, 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 😲 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘹𝘪𝘵𝘺; 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘱 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 — but how do we actually lead and collaborate within it? 🌍 There’s a lot of talk on Linkedin about the growing awareness that organisations are complex systems—dynamic networks of relationships that are constantly evolving. But here’s the thing: while we may understand this concept intellectually (or we're getting there), leadership and change curricula haven't caught up, leaving a gap between theory and practice when it comes to leading and collaborating in complexity. Our “𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘁𝘆” introductory workshop is trying to change this; it’s not just about learning the theory but developing the skills and practices that help us lead and collaborate in this ever-shifting landscape. Creating space to see the picture differently, work through relationships and explore how we might influence and nudge the change we desire. (𝘈 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘺) When asked to describe our work, the top words clients used were 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁-𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴, and 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹. We love that challenging came out on top because it speaks to the core of our approach. Growth and learning don’t come from staying comfortable—they happen when we push ourselves and our clients to confront the complexities of our experiences, ask tough questions, and rethink long-held assumptions. Embracing challenge means we’re engaging in the kind of deep, meaningful work that drives lasting change, and that’s exactly why we do what we do. We’re here to push the boundaries of what it takes to work well together on our most pressing challenges.     🔎 𝟭𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁...length of client partnerships. (𝘈 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘺) One thing we’re particularly proud of is the length of our client partnerships—some have been with us for over a decade! We've found that as the relationship evolves, so does our ability to engage more honestly with what's going on for our clients. The foundation of trust we have established allows for more challenging conversations, and it's through this process that genuine learning and change can occur—not just for the client but also for us. The time spent working through difficult issues together creates a shared history, enabling us all to move beyond superficial fixes and engage in meaningful, systemic change. While there’s often a temptation to treat this work as episodic, jumping from one intervention to the next, our commitment to long-term partnerships means we can get beneath the surface of issues and address underlying patterns as a route to organisational change. #Partnerships #LongTermSuccess #ClientTrust
