Press Release: RSMA Responds to £500m for Road Maintenance Budgets The Road Safety Markings Association (RSMA) has expressed a mixed reaction to the funding announcements in today’s Budget delivered by Chancellor Rachel Reeves. The Government has announced an investment of a further £500m to fix local roads. Although it was insinuated that the focus of this money would be on fixing the blight of potholes nationally, this would still lead to improvements of local road assets overall, including road markings. What a whirlwind of a week at Highways UK, and absolutely the best event yet! With so many of our members exhibiting, it was great chance to catch up with ATM Ltd, Eurovia UK, FCL - Foster Contracting Ltd, Kiely Bros LTD, Re-flow Field Management, Rexmar Engineering LTD, SWARCO HITEX LTD, Tarmac and WJ. We also welcomed Meon as associate members of the RSMA and look forward to working with them going forward. There was a packed programme of quality speakers over the 2 days, including our very own Julie Davidson B.A.(Hons) CQP MCQI and Ashley Wing sharing insights on adoption of field management software to digitise processes, and Craig Andrews discussing reducing renewals and how to get the most out of materials.
