Potholes make everyday journeys into an obstacle course, and can cause expensive damage to your vehicle and make roads less safe for everyone who uses them. Our new measures will require local councils to show exactly what they are doing to fix potholes, in order to receive their full share of the additional £500m funding, which will lead to fewer RAC callouts like these 👇

For the first time, every local authority in England will be required to publish information, including how many potholes they have filled, to unlock their full share of £500m of extra funding. By June 2025, councils must publish a report showing what they are doing to mend their roads and to allow local people to give feedback, to earn their full share of funding. The new measures are being taken to help fill the equivalent of 7 million potholes annually, as part of the Government's Plan for Change. Read more 👇 https://lnkd.in/eVt3NEhv
