About us

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is a true luxury house, crafting the world’s most desirable Bespoke products. The Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood, West Sussex, comprises both its global headquarters and manufacturing facility – the only place in the world where Rolls-Royce motor cars are designed, engineered and meticulously built by hand. Phantom leads the marque’s product portfolio, which also includes Ghost, Cullinan and the all-electric Spectre. Black Badge offers clients darker, subversive incarnations of Ghost and Cullinan. Every motor car hand-built at the Home of Rolls-Royce includes some element of Bespoke, the company’s unique programme offering personalisation possibilities which are limited only by the client’s imagination. Bespoke finds its ultimate expression in Coachbuild, in which Rolls-Royce and the client co-create every detail of the motor car, including its physical form. In 2023, Rolls-Royce commissioned its first independent economic impact study. This revealed a total contribution to the UK economy of over £4 billion since 2003, and now over £500 million annually. More than 2,500 people work at the Home of Rolls-Royce, and the company supports a further 7,500 jobs in its wider supply chain. Every year its Future Talent programme supports over 100 Apprenticeship, Internship and Graduate Placement positions. The Home of Rolls-Royce is also home to the celebrated Rolls-Royce Apiary with its 250,000 European honeybees. And through its Wildlife Garden and collaborations with the adjoining Goodwood Estate, the company supports local wildlife and biodiversity. Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is a wholly owned subsidiary of BMW Group. It is entirely separate from and unrelated to aircraft engine and propulsion systems manufacturer Rolls-Royce plc. #InspiringGreatness #BespokeIsRollsRoyce

In rear view, Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II benefits from a new tail lamp configuration, harmonising the side and rear surfaces. This treatment was inspired by Spectre, each featuring two expressive, vertical light panels flanked by a curved chrome element, discreetly inscribed with the double ‘R’ monogram. Clients can choose from two new 22-inch, 9-spoke wheel designs. Both treatments are an elegant and modern complement to Ghost Series II’s contemporary yet timeless design, and subtly reflect its underlying potency. Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II’s new exterior styling is an impactful evolution of its foundational design. The front profile has been distilled into a clean and contemporary showcase for the illuminated Pantheon Grille. Its modern presence is captured in the updated headlight and daytime running light graphics, which flow from the lower section of the grille to the edge of the front wings, dropping down to emphasise the motor car’s generous width. The lower portion of the front end provides a foundation for the grille, augmented by new chrome embellishments that form a ‘floating’ visual plinth for the Spirit of Ecstasy mascot. Today, we unveil the breathtaking one-of-one Spectre Lunaflair. The Bespoke commission takes its inspiration and name from the optical phenomenon of a lunar halo, which appears as a colourful circle of light around the moon. The paint chemistry, application timings, and base coat were extensively trialled to meet the client’s concept. The final finish is achieved by applying seven layers of lacquer, including a specially formulated pearlescent coat, infused with fine flakes of magnesium fluoride and aluminium. This creates a deep metallic effect under low light that bursts into rainbow technicolour in bright sunshine. Spectre Lunaflair’s dramatic coachwork is complemented by a fully Bespoke interior. It includes Navy Blue, White and Peony Pink tones, recalling the spectrum of hues that can be witnessed during a lunar halo. The unique Lunaflair paint finish is reserved exclusively for the commissioning patron. #BespokeIsRollsRoyce - WLTP: Power consumption: 2.6-2.8 mi/kWh / 23.6-22.2 kWh/100km. Electric range 329 mi / 530 km. NEDC: CO2 emissions 0 g/km.

Today, we unveil Private Office New York, the latest creative outpost in a network which already includes Shanghai and Dubai, as well as the ‘original’ Private Office at the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood. This global network of Private Offices enables us to engage even more closely with our global clientele, offering clients a taste of Goodwood nearer their home. Private Office New York provides an authentic setting for clients to explore design possibilities. For the first time, U.S.-based designers will help clients realise their visions, emphasising value creation over sales volume. As our largest market for two decades, North America has seen a dramatic increase in Bespoke complexity and creativity over the past three years. Private Office New York aims to further elevate the value of each commission in this key region. #InspiringGreatness

Clients can commission unique artworks on the bonnet or a coachline, hand-applied by a skilled team of artisans. A coachline is applied by hand using a brush made from fine squirrel hair. The coachline is precisely 3mm wide on Phantom, Cullinan and Ghost, and 4mm wide on Spectre due to its unique proportions. The exterior can be complemented with a unique coachline motif – a small artwork such as a family crest or a flower or geometrical pattern. #StriveForPerfection

Today marks the 60th anniversary of Phantom’s most memorable big-screen debut in the 1964 James Bond film, Goldfinger. The 1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom III Sedanca de Ville used in the film is both the perfect accomplice for its villain, Auric Goldfinger, and an enduring muse within our brand. At 14:00 BST, on 25 October, Rolls-Royce will open a new chapter in the Goldfinger Phantom story, furthering the legacy of this extraordinary motor car, and Rolls-Royce’s connection to the James Bond film franchise. #InspiringGreatness - GOLDFINGER © 1964 Danjaq, LLC and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc.
