Last month, to coincide with Alcohol Awareness Week, our Wellbeing team hosted an Alcohol Awareness webinar in partnership with Alcohol Change UK. We know that alcohol can often be used as a way to cope with life and work pressures. We want our employees to have the tools and guidance they might need should they ever find themselves in an unhealthy relationship with alcohol. Thanks to the Wellbeing team, and in particular Rebecca STEPHENSON for arranging the webinar and raising awareness around such an important topic. Lisa Pullen

On 24th August, our intrepid Leeds Service Centre team will be slipping into their lycra as they take on a sponsored bike ride across the (very steep) Pennines all the way to the Manchester Service Centre. They’re not taking on this challenge just for the fun of it. They will be cycling to raise money for local charity HEALTH FOR ALL (LEEDS) LTD, which supports young adults with learning difficulties around Leeds and the local area who otherwise wouldn’t get a chance in life without this critical support. If you feel you would like to make a donation, you can do so via the GoFund me page: https://gofund.me/fed3d2ae #poweredbydifference Samantha Lodge Councillor Debbie Quinn Lindiwe Sachiti Chris Hill Sarah Murphy Phillip Huntley Michael E.

One of the biggest risks to production is the cost and waste associated with commissioning overruns. From materials to staff, any problems during online operations can have a huge impact. Emulate 3D can help eliminate those risks, by developing a complete virtual twin of your system. An in-depth 3D model with simulated mechanics and processes, Emulate 3D can create any facility in a virtual space, just like modern video games. Systems Integrators can fully explore a complete line in complete 3D emulation, making it easy to test different operational models, adjusting buffer between processes, optimise placement of safety features like VSDs, and simulate how your system responds to changes.

We were delighted to be awarded a Payroll Giving Silver Award for our Charitable Donation’s Scheme. In line with our core values, we foster a culture of giving. One of the ways we do this is through the Charitable Donations Scheme, which allows employees to donate to charity on a monthly basis through salary sacrifice, with Routeco matching their donation. We are proud to be a regional funding partner of Primary Engineer, a nationwide programme promoting engineering careers, developing skills and tackling inequalities in the field by engaging with young people. Darren Spearing and Lesley Aukett were thrilled to attend this year’s regional awards ceremony, to meet with #EngineersInTheMaking – all answering the question ‘If you were an engineer what would you do?’. From rubbish crunching machines to automatic page turners, we saw and incredible display of innovation and imagination, and were lucky enough to hand out some of the awards. Doing good things in our local community is just one of six bold commitments we’ve made to delivering purpose across our business. #PrimaryEngineer #Routeco #SoneparPurpose #PoweredByDifference
