The Royal Statistical Society (RSS) is one of the world's most distinguished and renowned statistical societies. It is a learned society for statistics, a professional body for statisticians and a charity which works to promote statistics for the public good. The Society has 10,000 members in the UK and around the world, of whom around 1,000 are professionally qualified as Chartered Statistician. The RSS is active in a wide range of areas both directly and indirectly relevant to statistics, data and the evidence base for policy development.
