🙏 Thanks to our supporters, the Charity has been able to fund paper-based tools to improve the assessment of Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust patients with communication impairments. The hospital's Speech and Language Therapy team received funding for the Cognitive Linguistic Quick Test +, the Western Aphasia Battery-Revised bedside forms and the ABA-2: Apraxia Battery for Adults assessment tools. Sophie Ogilvie, Specialist Speech and Language Therapist says: “The assessments are an extremely important addition to our work with patients who can have a wide range of communication impairments due to a wide range of diagnosis.” “They allow us to identify patients who require support with their expressive and receptive language, reading, writing and allow us to plan targeted person-centred rehabilitation while people are with us at the hospital”.
