Located in the heart of the insurance district in the City of London, 40 Leadenhall Street comprise a double height 100m office lobby and retail space at ground level, with 34 storeys of office space above. The project involved intensive restoration of the historic 1865 façade of 19-21 Billiter Street, that forms the centre piece of this iconic development. The building is fully smart-enabled with the highest level WELL, Nabers, BREEAM, WiredScore and SmartScore accreditations targeted. We are proud to pivot from the shell and core completed with Mace, to deliver 30 floors of fit-out for some of the leading clients in legal, insurance, and banking. We are honoured to be working with T Clarke, Mace, Current Affairs Electrical Contractors Ltd, RS Response, F&A Limited, Ruddy Joinery, LMOB Electrical Contractors Ltd to deliver projects ranging from 1 to 20-floors in size throughout the building. ▪ RIVERWALK ▪ Riverwalk is an organically shaped building of two blocks rising 17 and 7 storeys and linked by a shared ground floor podium Designed with a focus on light, space and service, the apartments range from one to four bedrooms, plus penthouses, all enjoying exceptional views across the River Thames. The scope for Ruddy was to manufacture and install the timber doors & other related specialist joinery.

On Friday 9th August, Ruddy took part in St George's 5-a-side Football Tournament in London.   This charity football tournament was held to raise funds for the Berkeley Foundation, who are committed to funding all of it's charity operations. These include food deliveries for families living in poverty, video counselling sessions for young people struggling with their mental health and providing additional staff to enable youth charities.   The Tournament was kicked off with group stages, followed by knockout rounds, culminating with the final, and the Ruddy's team came in 2nd place in the Plate League!   Thank you to everyone involved, it was a great day, and a special thank you to Multifix who sponsored our T-Shirts. We were recently joined by some students from a local college as part of their Life Skills curriculum. Alan Ruddy gave a presentation which covered the process of all projects from start to finish, through each of our different departments, sustainability and technology in construction and the importance of leadership; all to give an insight into life at Ruddy Joinery. The students were then split into groups for some interactive questions, which resulted in some fantastic answers, and then we ended the day with two factory tours, kindly provided by our factory managers. It was a pleasure to have the boys join us and we hope that they enjoyed it as much as we did!

Last week, Multiplex hosted a charity abseil at One Leadenhall, which saw 50 courageous individuals descend 32 stories! The challenge was taken on by our colleagues, stake holders, and supply chain, all of whom have contributed to us fundraising over £27,000 so far for our charity partners, Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity and Chickenshed Theatre. The abseil began from 120 meters high, with incredible views across the city of London. A huge thank you to all who took part!
