On Friday 7th March Rural Housing's Chair John Waddell and CEO Stephen Fisher, alongside partners Lowry Construction Ltd and Studio Rogers Architects, had the pleasure of hosting a site visit at our Cushendall scheme. Attending the visit were representatives from the Housing Executive and Danske Bank. Our Cushendall scheme will see the addition of 34 new-build social homes to the village of Cushendall, an important step to addressing housing need in the area. This scheme has also been identified as a 'Housing for All' Shared Neighbourhood, which sees additional funding through the Housing Executive to develop a five year good relations plan for the area. Progress continues at our Greyhill Meadows scheme in Clabby. Rural Housing Association welcomes the addition of eight new-build social homes to the village. The need for these homes was identified through a joint Rural Housing Needs Test in partnership with the Housing Executive's Rural Unit.

We are delighted to announce our Housing Manager Valerie Pinkerton has been shortlisted as a finalist in this year's Chartered Institute of Housing - Northern Ireland Awards, in the Housing Professional of the Year category. This award honours individuals of the housing sector who have demonstrated exceptional commitment, innovation, and effectiveness in their roles. Well done Valerie!

We are delighted to announce our Rural Communities Connect project has been shortlisted as a finalist in this year's Chartered Institute of Housing Awards, in the Community Champions category. The Rural Communities Connect Project was delivered in partnership with Rathfriland Regeneration & Hilltown Community Association and funded through The Northern Ireland Executive's Central Good Relations Fund. The Rural Communities Connect Project created a 'pairing' project aimed at building the capacity of rural community groups in Hilltown and Rathfriland to deliver a series of good relations and diversity focused projects across both locations.

Rural Housing Association is currently carrying out a public consultation for eight new semi-detached homes at Grayhill Meadows, Clabby.
