Why are we still having this conversation? Great design takes strategy, insight, and collaboration. ✅ An agencies or designers portfolio, credentials, approach (if you meet them) and experience should be enough information to make an informed decision. If they are not, they probably aren’t the right fit for you. 💡Great design requires strategy, insights, and collaboration, mockups or free ideas are based on style only - as they can only be based on assumptions. ⏳ Free work takes time away from paying clients and devalues the entire creative industry. Jen here! Today I am sharing a cause very close to my heart. Many of you may not know that in my spare time I volunteer at worflags a fan-led and funded group creating flag displays across Newcastle inlcuding St James' Park and Kingston Park. Wor Flags is a family and at difficult times we look out for each other. In late 2024 Wor Flags own Chris Heron and his wife Tanita tragically lost their twin boys. Over the course of 2025, a number of us from Wor Flags are taking part in a series of running events to raise money for the charity Tiny Lives Trust. Personally I will be running the Great North 10k, Great North Half Marathon as well as other running events throughout the year.
