Taking a look back at the Atrium Building, located in Sandyford, which highlights the adaptability of both SAS740 and SAS740i perfectly. One of Edinburgh’s most beloved historic buildings has undergone major renovation works to create a state-of-the-art teaching space for The University of Edinburgh. In collaboration with Bennetts Associates Architects and main contractors Balfour Beatty plc, the SAS design team developed contemporary grey rafts to seamlessly complement the newly refurbished Edinburgh Futures Institute, formerly known as the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. The institute features SAS600 rafts throughout corridors, collaborative spaces, and lecture halls, providing modern acoustic solutions that integrate harmoniously with the institute’s original features.
