Jack is a Creative and Digital Media Foundation Apprentice at North East Scotland College and an aspiring journalist. For Scottish Apprenticeship Week, he interviewed Minister for Higher and Further Education Graeme Dey MSP at his school, Harlaw Academy, which happened to be Mr Dey's alma mater. Scottish Apprenticeships: Made for Business! The Scottish Chambers of Commerce, in partnership with CGI and Skills Development Scotland, hosted a sell-out employer networking event bringing together businesses to explore how apprenticeships are shaping Scotland’s workforce. The event highlighted the vital role apprenticeships play in equipping individuals with the skills needed to thrive, whilst helping businesses grow. We were delighted to be joined by Isobel Stewart, Director Consulting Delivery at CGI, who shared valuable insights into how apprentices are contributing to CGI’s success, supporting key projects and developing future talent. SCC and Skills Development Scotland shared inspiring insights of how businesses are harnessing apprenticeships to bridge the skills gap, boost productivity and create meaningful career pathways.
