Today, 10th October, the world commemorates World Mental Health Day. It is a global observance day with the goal of promoting, educating, and raising awareness about mental health, getting people talking about it, and eradicating the stigma that frequently surrounds mental health. This year’s theme is “It is time to prioritize mental health in the workplace.” 15% of working-age adults were estimated to have a mental disorder in 2019. Source: World Health Organization. Mental health awareness and support are crucial in the workplace. This is just one of the reasons that FES Group offers all its employees access to our free, confidential, Employee Assistance Programme. #worldmentalhealthday #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthawareness #youarenotalone #mentalhealth

Community Benefits at Forth Valley Hospital The team from FES Group was delighted to help with the installation of a new artwork at Forth Valley Hospital. The artwork is a memorial wall to those who have donated organs. The theme of the artwork is to express gratitude for the giving of life to others. For donors’ families and recipients, the hope is that it will provide a place of memorial; for the public it will act as a reminder of the value of organ and tissue donation, and it will also have a presence as a contemporary artwork on its own expressive terms. https://lnkd.in/dqmeFbai

🎉Huge Congratulations to the 1 New Park Square, Edinburgh Project!🎉 FES Group is proud to have installed the M&E and data Fit-Out for this award-winning project.
🎉Huge Congratulations to the 1 New Park Square, Edinburgh Project!🎉 We are over the moon to share that 1 New Park Square has won the national award for British Council for Offices 'Best Commercial Workplace' 2024! It is an incredible achievement that celebrates years of innovation, collaboration and dedication, and we couldn’t be prouder to have been part of this extraordinary project! As the first commercial building on Parabola’s Edinburgh Park development, this project set new standards for what a modern workplace can be. It integrates cutting-edge technology with a strong commitment to sustainability and as the M&E design engineers and sustainability consultants, we created an all-electric building; powered by a zero-carbon renewable grid energy supply, extensive on site bio solar PV array and a zero emissions heat pump based heating and cooling with full fresh air variable volume displacement ventilation systems including very high efficiency heat recovery. With its BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating, EPC A Rating and a focus on health and wellbeing, it’s not just an office, but a vibrant space that blends seamlessly into its community. We are proud to have played a key role in this forward-thinking development and extend our congratulations to our partners: Woolgar Hunter Engineers, Gardiner & Theobald LLP, Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, FES Group, Sir Robert McAlpine and the inspirational and forward thinking client Parabola, for this well-deserved recognition! #BCOAwards #Sustainability #MEPDesign #Innovation #NetZero #CarbonNeutral #BuildingExcellence

FES Group is delighted to be partnering with social enterprise, Powering Futures, to support their Powering Edinburgh’s Future Programme. Their Challenge Programme takes real-life business and sustainability challenges faced by industries and has students develop solutions to them. FES Group will partner with S5 and S6 pupils from Musselburgh Grammar school for a full academic year, during which time pupils will learn meta skills such as problem-solving, resilience and critical thinking, as well as gaining knowledge and understanding of sustainability. Powering Futures was set up in 2020 to empower the young and future workforce with the skills, knowledge and abilities to help the transition to net zero. It brings together the employers of today and the workforce of tomorrow, working towards the shared goals of prosperity and sustainability.
