“In the past we’ve worked separately, trying to address the same possible labour shortages and upskilling requirements – now we’re working in partnership.” This South of Scotland pathfinders video looks at a brilliant land-based skills project where partnership was once again the secret of a successful outcome. SFC’s Pathfinders programme investigated new ways to match education and training to the skills needs of regional economies. The Educational Pathways pilot project was a successful 3-way partnership that set out to provide joined up pathways into education and training at all levels of learning. @DandGCollege @UniWestScotland @dgcouncil

Through the Pathfinders programme SFC worked alongside enterprise and skills partners and with colleges and universities to take a “learning by doing” approach to finding out how Scotland’s tertiary education and skills system can be made more responsive, more integrated, and better able to support regional economies.
