The SECTA Women’s League final promised to be a spectacle and it delivered beyond expectations 💥 Let’s dive into the drama of the final showdown… Savills vs. OMD UK OMD arrived at Powerleague with their biggest squad yet, ready to challenge the mighty Savills. But Savills weren't about to roll over... Yato made an immediate impact when she eventually arrived following a pre-match jog from the office - stunning saves, thunderbolt strikes and endless support for her team. Luckily for OMD she wasn’t there from the outset 🫣 Jade set the tone immediately by opening the scoring. As we’ve come to expect from Barrett she continued her dominance, netting a brilliant hat-trick once again. OMD’s stargirl Maja The Magnificent returned between the sticks, pulling off a series of impressive saves. But Savills’ attacking threat was too hot to handle - with Lyons, Alexandra and Slater also getting in on the action 🔥 In a bold tactical move from captain Bea, OMD subbed their entire team, introducing fresh legs which paid off with immediate effect. Gringard wasted no time finding the back of the net. The momentum shifted, and when Hancox found the net, the crowd erupted! 🎉 OMD were proud of their effort. As Khushi remarked, "I actually kicked the ball in the right direction and everything!” Ultimately, Savills secured the victory! Ogilvy UK vs. Dewynters Despite being short on players, the 4v4 clash between Ogilvy and Dewynters was packed with determination and fun. Henry stood strong in defence, causing problems for Ogilvy. But once they found their rhythm, Ogilvy launched a relentless series of goals ⚽️ Coutinho lit up the pitch once again, racking up goals for Ogilvy with Rachel, her partner in crime 🏆 Sophia was a wall in defence, making it difficult for Dewynters to break through. Captain Abigail managed to find the back of the net, giving her team a boost in the final minutes. Ogilvy secured the win but both teams displayed grit and all the energy! VCCP vs. Squire Patton Boggs This was a match destined for the history books and what a game it was! You could hear a pin drop when Squire opened the scoring, setting the stage for an intense showdown. Upfront, Lily and the Pink Hero worked in harmony to break through VCCP’s strong defence, as they weaved through defenders and found the net. Squire’s goalie Simone was on fire, making it tough for VCCP to find the back of the net 🔥 Holly and Grace held their own with some heroic saves for VCCP to keep the game balanced. Both teams battled relentlessly until the final whistle, neither willing to concede defeat. The match ended in a hard-fought draw, as VCCP found an answer in the closing moments thanks to a trademark BOOM BOOM! The draw led VCCP to the ultimate victory of winning the league! Property Pre-Season Champs 👏👏 Wednesday night had everything - goals, comebacks and plenty of questionable footwork as we returned to Shepherd's Bush. Cushman & Wakefield blazed through the night, leaving their competition in it's dust and making a bold statement on the London property scene! Shepherd's Paribas had a solid start, but it wasn’t enough to derail the Cushwake FC freight train 🚝 Meanwhile, Gerald Eve put up a fight but just couldn’t find their rhythm or in Mann ’s case, his right boot. Maxwell has a hectic few weeks ahead, with a tough challenge on his hands getting this squad to gel. The quality is there but Jayden wanted more passion, more hunger and more desire from the green army. Is it too soon for a Max Johnson return? 🫣 Goals came thick and fast for Cushwake, leaving the world of property chasing shadows. The gaffer, Haines, will be thrilled with his squad, which seems to have the ideal mix of experience and youth - especially with new grad Thomson, who’s shaping up to be the signing of the summer. Final scoreline? Cushwake: undefeated, untouchable, unstoppable. Buckle up for the penultimate week of SECTA women’s league 🤠 It went a little like this… 🎬 Savills vs. Squire Patton Boggs  This is what you come out on a Wednesday night for!! Both teams came out swinging, with goals flying in from the outset 🤯 Savills struck first, but Squire wasted no time, quickly equalising with a goal of their own. Jade and Rebecca were a dynamic duo for Savills, weaving through the defence and slotting home brilliant goals. On Squire’s side, Lilly was unstoppable - speed, skill, and determination - she was a force to be reckoned with yet again. A highlight moment came when Squire sent a booming kick that knocked out the lights! But not even the faulty lighting could slow these teams down 💡 At halftime, it was neck-and-neck, but when Alexandra took her place between the sticks, Squire couldn’t find a way past 🧤 From start to finish, this game had everyone on the edge of their seats. Both teams absolutely smashed it but it was Savills who took home the points. Ogilvy UK vs. OMD UK  A game was packed with energy, with both teams leaving it all out on the pitch. Kari arrived late to take her spot in goal, but Ogilvy were thankful she made it - only conceding two goals despite the intense pressure. OMD’s Maja OMD who made an impressive debut. We lost count of how many goals she saved, effortlessly shutting down Ogilvy’s shots. Emily was a standout for Ogilvy and Madison deserves a shoutout, who gave everything she had - right down to her left boot, which broke apart in the final minutes of the match 💔 Leah was a defensive rock for OMD, while Bea once again rallied her team with strong leadership. In the end, it was Ogilvy who clinched the win this week! VCCP vs. Dewynters  VCCP proved unstoppable, fielding a full squad backed by supporters. Their dominance was clear from the start, and they left no room for an upset. A special appearance by VCCP’s Jordain, who joined Ray on the sidelines to cheer on his team, set the tone. "Showing up the boys and I’m here for it!" 👏 Dewynters' captain Henry put up an early fight with some stunning saves in goal, making things tricky for VCCP. But once VCCP found their rhythm, the goals started flowing. Cooper was absolutely on fire, bagging a hat-trick with ease - left foot, right foot, you name it, she did it! VCCP’s player of the match, Halima played a crucial role, racking up assists and scoring two goals of her own, with one coming in the dying moments to cap off the dominant performance 🧢 Dewynters displayed true grit and determination, battling hard as a unit and never losing sight of the fun. Their effort and teamwork were commendable, playing right to the final whistle. If the past four weeks are anything to go by, next week's final will go down in history! Don’t miss it. Super Cup Final: VCCP vs. White Swan 🏆 A crisp autumn night at Shoreditch Powerleague set the scene as the EURO champions VCCP took on plate winners, White Swan. Tension was thick, and what followed was a footballing rollercoaster 🎢 It kicked off with White Swan’s keeper, Jake, arriving just in time. Fashionably late but worth the wait. Meanwhile, Valero admitted, "Less confident than I thought," as nerves crept in before the first whistle 🫣 The game began as all classic cage matches do, back and forth. VCCP soon found their groove with Josef slotting from a sharp angle, setting the tone. Jos marked his debut off the bench with immediate impact, pouncing on a White Swan mistake. Moments later, he followed up with an absolute rocket. Super-sub, secured ✅🚀 White Swan, however, weren’t about to roll over. C. fired one from distance to pull a goal back. It was game on. But VCCP kept pushing, and when VCCP missed from the spot, White Swan saw their chance. In a flash of brilliance, White Swan channelled their inner Brazil '02. Quick, silky passes bounced between players before the ball found C.’s boot. Without hesitation, he unleashed an absolute THUNDERBOLT into the top corner ⚡️⚡️⚡️ East London was stunned as the Swans broke out into samba 💃 The moment not only sparked a resurgence in Claremunt’s Instagram engagement but also the Swan’s performance with Jeno working hard to grab another moments later. Momentum with the Swans. The game on a knife-edge 🔪 Then, another penalty. This time, no mistake as Jordain calmly slotted home and the champs regained control. In the second half, VCCP showed why they’re champions. Macken did all he could but even his heroics couldn’t stop the fourth penalty. We’ve crossed the half-way point and it’s still… ALL TO PLAY FOR 🥁🥁 Another Wednesday night in Shoreditch brought all the intensity and passion we’ve come to expect from these teams. It went a little like this… VCCP vs OMD UK VCCP faced off against OMD in an intense match with both sides pushing through without subs for 40 minutes of relentless action. VCCP without subs. Hmm… The big question on everyones lips. Where was Lucy Cooper?! Cheyenne was quick to rebuttal Cooper's SHOTS as this week it was Lucy who was pulled into the dark side of PINTS over Powerleague ❌ The pressure was on VCCP to defend their undefeated streak, while OMD came prepared to disrupt. Despite their small squad, OMD’s debut player Sumona brought fresh energy, and Murelle kept morale high with constant encouragement and an incredible spell between the sticks. But there’s only so long you can keep this VCCP side at bay. VCCP, known for their quick moves and sharp finishing.  It was only a matter of time… ⏰ Once Bojahr found her rhythm she delivered the vintage weaving runs we’ve grown to love on Wednesday nights. VCCP cruised into control and showed why they sit at the top of the table. But credit to OMD, they didn’t give up. They kept going and it was PURE pandemonium when they got a lucky break with a ricocheted goal to make it 4-1, giving them a much-needed boost. Chey gave it her all, even literally throwing herself into the goal at one point. Before all was said and done, Rosier scored to give OMD a third and keep spirits high 👏👏 OMD battled well but ultimately it was VCCP’s quality which prevailed! Savills vs Ogilvy UK When the teams rolled up this week, we knew we were in for a treat 🎉 Kari returned for Ogilvy who impressed in pre-season and was keen to help her team bounce back with a big win. But don’t underestimate Savills who returned with a strong squad following last week's tough game with VCCP. Jordan got Ogilvy on the scoreboard early, but Barrett fired back for Savills with a stunning long-range effort, prompting Kari to rally her team: “Don’t let that happen again” 😂😂 Truth be told, there was little that could be done about the striking prowess of Jade who scored a hat-trick of rockets on the night 🚀 It was a thrilling game full of skill, sportsmanship, and great vibes, but Ogilvy ultimately walked away with a well-earned victory this week.
