As part of our zero to landfill target we’re striving to make our operations more sustainable & efficient. Since introducing the Barrel for Life system across all Selwood branches earlier this year, we've saved an incredible 31,545 plastic bottles. By eliminating the need for 20L single-use plastic tubs, we’ve also prevented 2.6 tonnes of CO2 emissions since February 2024. ♻️ Big thanks to Autosmart International, the supplier of our Barrel for Life system. We had a fantastic time at the Speedy Hire x Tru7 Group Open Day, where we got to dive into the future of how we are able to support the nuclear industry. Check out our Manufacturing facility at our HQ! ⚡ Did you know we manufacture all of our D, S and H range pumps in-house at our Chandlers Ford depot? Supporting Blackburn Meadows WwTW upgrade.💧 Selwood was proud to support Glanua and Yorkshire Water at one of Yorkshire’s largest wastewater treatment works, Blackburn Meadows. Success of the project meant phosphorus levels in the treated water being returned to the river were reduced, improving river water quality. Selwood delivered a 3-stage overpumping solution to divert effluent and allow for construction on site.
