The oil and gas sector contributes about £25 billion a year to the UK economy, supporting around 200,000 UK jobs, many of which are under threat from potential Government policies. Today we are proud to share 'A Town Called Bruce', a film, made with Brindex and the GMB Union, shedding light on the hopes and fears of some of our colleagues who work on our Bruce platform. These stories have parallels on many other platforms and with many other families. #ATownCalledBruce The film can be viewed on our website https://lnkd.in/ekmdiQHc

Production via the Triton FPSO has been interrupted owing to a problem with the single gas compressor in operation. Given the outage, Serica’s production for 2024 is expected to be slightly below previous guidance. As previously stated, actions are being taken to reduce the operational vulnerability of the Triton FPSO by bringing the second compressor into service. The date for this is likely to be delayed by the corrective work on the ‘A’ compressor and is now expected to be in Q1 2025. Production from Serica’s other assets is currently in line with expectations, with cash flow aided by the recent level of gas prices. The average month to date market gas price is 97.9 pence per therm, the strongest so far in 2024. Serica will issue a trading and operations update in mid-November, by which time production on the Triton FPSO is expected to have resumed. The addition of production from the GE-05 well on the Gannet field (SQZ: 100%) is expected shortly after the resumption of production. https://lnkd.in/ekRC-GpU

Isn't it great when a good idea takes flight? We are thrilled to be co-sponsors of a superb initiative by GreenTweed Eco, giving 10 specially-built bird boxes each to 200 schools across Aberdeen City and Shire. Once pupils and teachers have decided on the most bird-friendly spots around school and community, the boxes will provide a safe haven for birds and a great way for students to learn about local biodiversity. Johnny Pike joined founder Tom Rawson to drop some boxes off at Fernilea Primary, one of the schools close to our Aberdeen office. #biodiversity #birdlife #wildlife

Alex: "Our journey with Stepwise to improve our Scope 3 emissions reporting from vessels and drilling rigs has been a great example of operator/supplier collaboration. We hope the impact of this is felt more widely and other operators can benefit from this successful pilot."
