Old vs. new! A look at the existing and new stair structure at IFM Investors. Our latest design extends their stairs to connect levels 8, 9, and now 10, supporting their continued growth. Great to collaborate with Spec, Mark Partners, CHPK Group, Northcote Building Consultancy Limited, and Martina Joinery on this project.

With a 7-storey, fully occupied space, our challenge was to create an environment that encouraged movement, collaboration, and idea-sharing across floors and teams. Shaw Studios is expanding! We are seeking creative, dedicated, and enthusiastic individuals with a strong work ethic to join our London practice. Ideal candidates should hold degree-level qualifications in design and possess a minimum of two years of experience working on projects in London. While you will receive support from our senior team, you must be adept at managing varied workloads across multiple projects to meet client deadlines. Effective communication, both spoken and written in English, is paramount for this role. We’re looking forward to an exciting year ahead. With the construction industry forecasting growth in 2025, the continuing reimagining of office spaces and the ever-pressing sustainability requirements there's lots to think about. This year, we’re completing several major projects, including our LBIC development in Q1, delivering 3000 sqm of labs and shared spaces at the Tribeca development in King’s Cross. Our Covent Garden end-user office will also be finished this quarter, 4 floors of cat a and b fit-out totalling 1500sqm. We're thrilled to be kicking off a building refurbishment for Shaftesbury Capital PLC in collaboration with an exceptional team, and also to get the opportunity to work on a standout office space at 22 Bishopsgate, one of London’s most dynamic locations. Thanks to the very patient staff of IFM Investors as we work around you with our sustainable temporary hoardings. 🙌 We’re proud to share some environmental accomplishments from this project: ♻️ Achieved/improved on sustainability targets across 90% of demolition items through reuse and recycling efforts. ♻️ On track to prevent 20,122 kg of CO2 of carbon emissions by reusing materials. ♻️ Set to recycle over 9,500 kg of carpet tiles and 7,000 kg of plasterboard, to be made into new products. No formal accreditation was sought, but the focus on measurable sustainability speaks volumes. Proud to collaborate with Spec, Mark Partners, CHPK Group, and Northcote Building Consultancy Limited on this incredible journey!

The environmental impact of commercial construction can be heavy, with fast programmes & space restraints making reuse & recycling difficult. Over at 2 London Wall we have been incredibly fortunate to work with a client (IFM Investors) & professional team (Northcote Building Consultancy Limited, Shaw Studios UK & CHPK Group) who want to engage in reuse & put priority on reducing the environmental impact of construction. Everyone has their role in the circular economy... Here's how we have been delivering as a team... ✅7400 kg of plasterboard separated & recycled. ✅2959 square meters of carpet tiles reprocess into new carpet. (Thankyou Tarkett) ✅319 square meters of glass, graded & cleaned to be reinstalled in the new space (offsetting over 2390 kg/C02e). ✅New specified wall & floor finishes from sustainable sources (recycled plastics & natural cork products). ✅Approximately 20,000 kg of CO2 equivalent prevented through material reuse.
