    🚀 We’re beyond excited to kick off our partnership with King's College London this year! Our team threw down the gauntlet, presenting a unique challenge to the MSc Digital Marketing students. This dynamic project spans four key modules: Digital Marketing Strategy, Communications, Consumer Behaviour, and Research. Now, it’s up to the students, stepping into their role as consultants, to tackle this exciting brief head-on. And trust us, we didn’t go easy on them!     SINE Group Finance Assistant Summer Intern 2024 | EY Technology Risk Summer Intern 2024 | Accounting and Finance student at Queen Mary University of London

    If you had told 11-year-old me that in about ten years she would see *the* Imelda Staunton live on stage she wouldn’t have believed you. This is just one of countless dream-come-true aspects of my summer internship at SINE Group that made it as amazing as it was. I’m beyond privileged to have worked alongside the incredible finance family for the past 7 weeks — Felix Matthews, Iona Wilkinson, Gloria I., Donell Sarkodee, I cannot thank you enough for making me feel so welcome since day one. Your mentorship, undying support, and energy you bring into the office every single day has been truly inspiring. Your guidance made a significant impact on my personal and professional growth, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to learn from such a dynamic team. Thanks to you, I’m now Xero Advisor certified! 🥳 Being immersed in the industry of my dreams has been nothing short of utterly exhilarating, and obtaining free tickets to see the wonderful Hello Dolly (courtesy of the equally wonderful Benji Haigh) and the electrifying Back to the Future Musical (courtesy of the spectacular Katie Harding) was just the tip of the iceberg — facilitating and maintaining communications with clients such as The Royal Ballet and Opera, Avalon, and Aston Martin F1 is something I never thought I would do this early in my career. I cannot express how grateful I am that the team entrusted and supported me with these responsibilities. SINE exhibits transparency in every sense of the word. Everyone had time for everyone, and as such, I was able to comfortably be my true inquisitive self. I used this opportunity to speak to a multitude of inspiring people at the company, learning about them, their roles, and asking how the finance team can further support what they do. After a fascinating conversation with the lovely Max Miller, I relayed a suggestion to the finance team of the prospect of holding finance-specific drop-in sessions, which they took on and implemented within just a couple of weeks. I truly appreciate the team taking the time to listen to what I learned, and their preparedness to action and build upon any suggestions I had! My research project into zero-based-budgeting and continuous forecasting allowed me to practice and enhance my time management and presentation skills, not to mention the fact that the topics themselves were extremely eye-opening to read into; I thoroughly enjoyed the discussions I had with Felix about these topics, which enabled me to build on my university knowledge of budgeting and forecasting and apply it in a real-world setting. Helping repot and water the office plants with the Plant Club headed by Jesal Ramesh D. and Emily Wong was great fun as a budding green thumb myself and, being the massive film nerd that I am, I made sure to join at least one session with the Film Club headed by Max M. ! As always, I will take any opportunity to be my creative self, so I hope you enjoy this 90-second video I put together! 💖

    International Day of Charity is this month. We could share pictures from our volunteer days. We could post statistics about at-risk groups. We could focus on the day and its history. But we're not going to. Don't get us wrong, all these are great and have their place. But we think talk and no action from businesses can fall flat, be frustrating, or feel performative. Instead, we're going to highlight Soup Kitchen London. They're located in the heart of our area and we know first hand the wonderful work they're doing. In the past year, they've served over 69,000 meals and opened a drop-in mental health clinic focused on a holistic approach to wellbeing. For our part, we've started a quarterly donation to the Soup Kitchen where we match every item donated by a SINE staff member. They bring in a jar of peanut butter? We donate a jar of peanut butter. We tackled this by launching a multifaceted demand gen campaign across Google, to reach targeted audiences higher in the funnel as part of our wider digital strategy.     The Paris 2024 Olympics has been at the forefront of all discussions and we really enjoyed tuning in! With several clients in the sports industry, our team all have different go-to sports that we are passionate about, but our favourite thing about this year's Olympics wasn't necessarily what you'd expect... 2024 is the first time the Olympics has achieved almost full 50/50 gender equality among competing athletes. It's a huge milestone and one that we're really happy to see. Hosting 152 women’s events, 157 men’s events, and 20 mixed-gender events, Paris 2024 marks significant progress in the effort for equity in sports. Of course, there’s still a long road ahead for diversity and inclusion, but progress is progress. Gender parity will always remain on the SINE agenda - and although we still have a way to go ourselves, we believe in the importance of transparency on gender diversity within our organisation to hold us accountable for striving towards a more equal workforce: Executive & Board - 89% male, 11% female Senior Management - 25% male, 75% female Company-wide - 46% male, 54% female We're building a strong client base amongst sports brands, and it's a commitment for us that they align with our values to champion inclusivity. #GenderEqualOlympics #Paris2024 #DiversityInSports #IntersectionalityInSport
