📣 SMPTE Young Innovators North/South - Register Interest 🖋   For the past 3 years Carys, Polly & Sarah have led the organisation of our very successful 'Young Innovators' event held at Sky Central Cinema, Osterley.   For those who don't know, Young Innovators provides an opportunity for those who are new to our sector, to get an understanding of the pathways and experiences available to them. The event also serves to celebrate the achievements of young innovators and emerging talent, encouraging them onwards in their technical careers.   Now, after 3 years of experience in the South, this operation is a well oiled machine and the expectations are high! As we look to increase exposure to opportunities in the North we are keen to identify the appetite for this event.   Please let us know in the poll if you would be interested in attending and repost to help us get the word out!   In addition if you would be interested in supporting the Northern edition of this event either financially or practically, please contact Tasha Jones.   Please note: The North & South "editions" would not take place at the same  time.

Wren Wood, Tom Russell, Sophie Humphrey, and Max Bainbridge were our top attendees at SMPTE UK meetings in 23-24 so each received a travel bursary. You'll be seeing more from them in the coming weeks as they publish videos from the show!

SMPTE UK is growing from strength to strength, and Tasha Jones has played a big part in our recent events in the North of England! So in recognition, we've made her a Manager at Large on the SMPTE UK board. Congratulations Tasha, and we look forward to many more amazing meetings in the North, the South and maybe elsewhere in the UK in the coming year!

We're excited to announce our speakers and line-up for this event! Come along and hear Ian Trow, Martin Richards and Robert Wadge share their real-world experiences of building media workflows in the cloud. With over 160 industry people signed up to attend, this is going to be an amazing evening of learning and networking. But wait, there's more! In planning this event, we realised we had more than enough content to fill one evening, so do come back for part 2 at Google London in October where we'll be looking at Cloud Best Practice and Security. Tickets will be issued in early September.
